Bob Can you please show a chart to show when/where you set your trade for this ? I am on Cowboy IBFX also and the only time this pair touched the DO was at the 00:00 start of day Since that second it has gone south with no retrace Just curious how you got in the trade Thanks |

Hi all, Firstly, congratulations Bob on the recent arrival of your granddaughter. I have been lurking for a couple of weeks since joining Steve's site & couldn't think of a better time to say HI. Secondly, thanks for this great little scalping system & 10.2 (and NB 4hr Trading System 5.3, 5.3 etc). I liked the earlier 4 hr sytem but unfortunately I lacked any experience to make it work for me. So 1.5 years later I am starting to get a handle on this FX stuff. Hopefully I will be making some pips on demo next week with one or both of these systems. More pips to you Bob. Cheers, Mick |

Dang we have had to go through all this with the whole 10.2 series. I understand the need for standardization. Actually since my pivots set at JPY open I really cant get my trades in for that because price often is beyond the line then. SOoooooooooooo USD close might work, would have to look at it though. Remember I am Cowboy IBFX USA so that is where I do my work and testing from.    |

OK I have been looking at the corner cut trades where price hits the corner of the new pivot and doesnt retrace. I thought I would trade one by entering below the last low. There was 35 pips until the next line so I set it at +25 and took the trade at +23. There was room for a trade so I took it. The thing that surprised me was it went before the euro open. So I have set another pending below DS1. It looks like the Cad may break out and run for a while so I want to be in. It was a surprise trade and it turned out nice. The reasons were: 1. gbp/cad had dropped hard the night before 2. probably drop more at least to DS1 3. highs were getting lower and lower 4. Most important there was room to get pips on the trade Almost 40 until the S1/ line. 5. So at 25 pips and a 12 SL I had a 2:1 ratio and took it. 6. If it continues to fall hard some more I am in at the break of DS1. then its 50+ more pips to DS2/WP lines. That is reachable tonight if the news breaks. So taking advantage of a possible strong move by the CAD tonight. |

Don, thanks for bringing it up - I didn't dare as all this same time daily open /GMT shift etc often escalates.... Please post the mq4 for the Daily Pivots shifted if you have it.... I feel a Chinese lesson coming on here. xie xie nin is thank you to an honored or special person, xie xie ni is a less formal thank you. xie xie also means thanks and is the most common thank you, you will hear. The normal response is Bu Yong Xie which literally means 'no need thank' but translates 'it was no problem' or 'you need not thank me'. The one I get the most in China from those who know me or know my position would say 'xie xie nin laoshi' 'means thank you honored teacher' a sign of great respect. The one thing I have enjoyed the most about China is teachers are held in the highest esteem and respect. That is changing though with the younger generation. Westernization and Western movies. If I am out with students or ex-students it is considered an insult to let a teacher pay for his meal. I like to go out to eat here at the many fine restaurants and if students sees me they will pay the bill without me knowing it. I have often gone to pay the bill and found out it has already been paid. I am embarrassed to ask student friends out to dinner with us because they refuse to let me pay even though I asked them out. I dont ask students out because I am embarrassed by the practice. Many of them are poor and I know they cant afford it but they do it anyway. As a compromise I invite them to my house for dinner instead so they dont feel compelled to pay for the meal. But they always bring something for the meal. I really enjoy that part of the culture where I live. |

have placed 7 trades for today usdcad waiting to enter usdchf took this trade off the board, went the wrong way no entrance euraud +5 eurnzd +33 gbpnzd open trade gbpaud open trade gbpchf. off the board not taken gbp/cad +23 chf/jpy So a little of everything no jpy so far though. |

Don, I must be doing something wrong here. Loaded your AllPairs10.3 Nov 1 version on USDCHF chart. Experts tab showed success init, but then error with zero divide on both M1 and H1 TFs. Tried again running ForceLoadHistoricalData and it crashed a couple times...after running 2-3 min each time; showed successes and fails loading pairs values, then hung at USDPLN and then USDSEK 2nd time. (This script has hung my Empty4 few times before, just never checked the Experts tab then.) Reloaded your Indy with same error. I am running a DEMO USD account on FXCM Empty4 Build 438 (Sep 21,2012.) When I check under Tools > History, I see all blank under all of the 10 forex groups listed (click on individual pairs.) My Empty4 also has the default of 512000 (max history bars) and 65000 (max charts bars) under Tools>Options>Charts. So what should I do next ?
