Hiho,

me again.
Right at the moment 23:14 in germany i have no ticks on my VPS on the GlobalPrime Empty4 instance for USDCHF, EURJPY,GBPJPY.
When i open my ActivTrades Empty4 instance on the same server. There i have ticks! Has someone made the same observation?

I don't understand this behaviour...

There is a tick generator in the original package so you can set up your lines properly during non trading hours. But what you are talking about ?????????????? dont know.

There is a tick generator in the original package so you can set up your lines properly during non trading hours. But what you are talking about ?????????????? dont know.
Global Prime (Jem's brokerage :D ) had feed freeze probs promptly solved at the start of the new trading week (Sunday night in Europe :o ) Cheers... Kevin

hmm this was because of a news event, i guess for the next few days, it may go either way depending on what BOJ decides to do

I would think JPY would be choppy this week. Fundamental traders are writing to look for good reentries back into the trend. People who trade with no stops or big stops are holding their positions or closing some of them and looking for reentry points. If you look at a Monthly chart you can see we are at another major S/R area. So you can expect price to bounce around here for a bit. However, if price breaks here again, then go for the ride. I do not expect the Japanese govt. to accept this point to be their new low (euro high) but will want to push the Euro higher against the yen in the future. But this point being a holding point until the next BOJ meeting is most likely to happen. notice this point of S/R over the last 20 years.

Been following the discussion here for the new idea of resetting Pivots for different market sessions to trade respective pairs in that session. I want to quote barnov above (aka Paul,.. just how many Paul's are there on the forum) and seek little more.

TIB says to align pivots for the respective sessions to their open times. But one has to do it an hour before the open. This does not imply -3 value. Rather the value is -4 but that the adjustment should be done an hour before. Isin't that how it should be?

Yes right now you would adjust your pivots for the Euro open which is in 50 minutes. You then can look at your charts and determine where you want to enter. At this time I drop to the 15M chart instead of the hour chart because it is easier to read. I will post some potential trades in about 30M after a meeting if it finishes on time.
