Price retrace can be from anything even a reversal so I wouildnt make that a rule.HannesJoubert » Wed Feb 04, 2015 12:25 pm wrote:Thanks Bob, always nice to hear from "THE" Bobnanningbob » Wed Feb 04, 2015 6:02 pm wrote:
Rad arrows show enough strength for continuation but if price stalls then it stalls. I use Rad arrows more for looking for a retrace and then back into the trend trade rather than adding on at the tip. However if you know the fundamental driving price then they show the next breakout point.the thing that I was wondering about, if I can put it in a lay-mans vernacular, the rad arrow was triggered, and then retraced to the previous rad arrow...now if I understand you correctly, that is when you would have entered on the previous rad arrow, because of the retrace...so, I have in fact, one correct entry as per your method, (the 2nd entry on the retrace) and 1 "incorrect" entry which was too early and is / was in DD due to the retrace to the prior rad arrow...
Sjoe, does that sum it up?
Cheers

This is going to be fun. Vote for me I will take care of the EU. Ok they pull the plug, now what are you going to do? No more running govt. deficits and paying bills with borrowed money. You only pay with cash on hand. So who is not getting paid. Guess judgement day has come.fx800 » Wed Feb 04, 2015 4:22 pm wrote:Important news on the EURO

More negative news for the Euro ....................................
http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=524957
I wonder if there will be more euro sell off at Euro open.
:
The HGI has printed a big sell arrow on yesterdays D1 candle.
On H4 Range Wavy Lines has appeared which suggests the recent run up for the euro may be over for the time being.
However, NFP tomorrow may change the whole picture if we get a weak payroll number which may weaken the US DOLLAR. On the other hand, if a strong jobs report comes out tomorrow, it will reinforce the euro's already precarious situation.
On my wish list -- the euro to plummet tomorrow after NFP. But will it happen

Anyone shorting the euro based on HGI signals ?

Well if you are not Sure then Play Safe and Do the Trade in Demo, that's how you will know not to Loose or Gamble with your Hard Earned Cash, the Best Trade for me if I am Speculating is a Demo Trade and A NO Trade on any of my Live Accounts.
Happy Trading Y'all

HERE IS ONE ANALYST'S TAKE ON THE EURO. HE MAY BE RIGHT AS YOU CAN SEE THE BLUE WAVY LINES ARE STILL AT THE BOTTOM ON H4.fx800 » Thu Feb 05, 2015 6:22 am wrote:Thanks for your sound advice. I WILL WAIT TILL BLUE WAVY LINES APPEAR AT THE TOP ON H4 BEFORE CONSIDERING SHORTING THE EURUSD. EVENTUALLY THE BIG SELL ARROW ON D1 WILL PREVAIL.

Hello All
I have been using hgi for a while. I'm struggleing. I seem to be going backwards. It seems as though whenever i take a signal it imediatly goes in the wrong direction and a wavy line appears and i have to get out. I am using money management as per bob's suggestion. 0.10 per 10.000 so my losses arnt killing me. Maybe its a rough patch. I am taking wavey blue and big arrow signals only. I might try and trade only with the trend. and trade no more than two pairs at a time. Any thoughts welcome
I just wondered how others are doing?

My advice is to stick to H4 which is what HGI was originally designed for and less prone to market noise. Also need to learn the basics about reading the japanese candles chart, looking for reversal patterns like pin bars, inside bars, etc. BabyPips.com is a good place to start. This will help sharpen your entry criteria and reduce the number of failed trades which will occur with any method.
If once you don't succeed, try and try again ! And good luck !

thanks for that. I am trading the 4 hr and i am familiar with price action trading. I have been trading a while. I will keep at it for a bit and see if it turns around. Just wondered how others were doing with testing/trading. Its been a couple of months now of HGI and just wanted to get and idea if it was just me being unlucky and picking the few turkey trades or anyone else wasn't doing so well. I suspect my problem is not closing bad ones early enough.
