Excellent advice. I will use this as a base to work from. Many thanks..
Great, when you master the daily mm routine, and I do advice to annotate all stuff on chart (even baitline and the range that is created by fox before session end for the next fox, the extention, etc, everything that CJ mentions) you will see what makes up 1 single day. Also you will see what makes up the overall routine, how the levels and patters get created.
Always think of price moving in 3s (including shs and topping formations!). Think of symmetry and timing! This is why CJ refers to pa being familiar after a while as a song, that we know what comes next.
Levels: 3 push starts from the retrace of the levels. From one level to the next there has to be 3 levels on lower tf. Pushes/levels are the same, you just see them differently on different tfs. Good luck!

Summary of CJ's Thread,

A quick update on my progress. I will keep on adding to this post to summarize the most significant points.

- Cj introduces the A - K pattern where he talks about 3 level pushes, exhaustion, baitline, lower highs and lower lows from the A to D pattern. Price crosses the baitline and higher highs and higher lows are formed. The baitline remains the significant line of interest which is just after the exhaustion point up to the k point where we look for an entry. This whole process is an accumulation with stophunts to trap buyers and sellers. (PG 3)
- Cj discusses railroad tracks (pinbars) On the 4hr timeframe and how to look for an entry on the lower time frames from page 6 onwards.
- Cj discusses accumulation in the Asia session where HOD (high of Day) and LOD (Low of Day) is set. I particularly like this post. Cj gives an example with spreads widening and stophunts occuring before going into Euro and London sessions and the kill zone before New york. This is intra day trading based on the 15 min chart (PG19).

All for now, I will continue to update this post.

Cheers
Leon

Patterns are dirty for sure but still recognizable. You seem to be on your way!

Cj gives an example with spreads widening and stophunts occuring before going into Euro and London sessions and the kill zone before New york. This is intra day trading based on the 15 min chart (PG19).
- Cj shows an example of a BARF (Bump and reversal formation) pattern with the trendline broken price rises to the original trenline break for a 2nd chance of entry. Pg 22 and onwards
- Cj Excellent example of Barf "Bump trendline" broken with target set back towards the "Lead in trendline" or main trendline as I see it, Stoplosses above the Pinbar. Pg 25.
- Cj quote "The smaller time frame trades end sooner. When you see an "M" or "W" on the 15M, it's probably a RRT pattern on the 1H or 4H. Same on the higher. When you see RRT of D1, it's an "M" or "W" on the 1H or 4H" Pg 27/ Cj makes alot of reference to this throughout the thread.
- Cj notes "Things to note....Asian is to set the range, reset the HOD and LOD....London usually brings the moves... and NY is good for reversals....saw that with a bunch of them this morning....moves usually begin 25-50 pips above or below the Asian range....
The cycles are different across the pairs. They are spread so that they all don't coincide....they are staggered across the pairs..... you can use this info and find "lead pair" and "trailing pair".... who leads and who follows? Pg 37
- Cj answers " what is the most common TF you guys are watching ? 15M for trade entry and exit and 1H for scans to see the weekly cycle....Pg 44
- How do you know when it's going to go up with no W, or does it just turn out that way?
The pins and 1st leg for a "W" are there...I'm taking the trade at that point....I don't wait...the 2nd spike down stops short...it doesn't continue as the next bar is up.... I got here late....took the trade when saw it...I might have picked up another 5-10 pips but I'm happy with what I got...
To answer your question though, you don't "know"....your risk is 5-10 pips below the pins +the spread Pg 48
- Cj When you look at the RRT patterns on the higher time frame, you will get the better moves. They tend to be longer in nature, offering up more in return. They hold the smaller moves that are seen on the 15M time frame within. If you have a hard time seeing them on the 15M look to the 1H and 4H and find the tracks. Pg 48
- Cj refers back to the 1st chart in his thread EURGBP where there is an extended move on the 4 hr t/frame and a 3 level push to the downside on the 15 min timeframe. Price also on the baitline as decribed in the first post example/ Buy trade entered. Pg 52
- Cj Trapping volume on a large scale. Symmetrical wedge Pg 55
- Cj there hasn't been a stop hunt as of yet.... usually have range expansion, stop hunt then the move ...
3 day cycles are 3 days or rise or 3 days of falling price.
- Cj Stop hunts take place every day on every time frame....it's just that on the 15M time frame and with this method....you look for them to occur 25-50 pips above or below the Asian range....
A news spike is nothing more than a stop hunt.... Pg 63
- Cj Don't confuse levels, which the 3 day cycle runs on....3 days or rise or 3 days of fall....The 3 levels or price rise or fall occur within the sessions....the 3 push high or low also occur out of the Asian range....
There is usually a direction change after the 3 day cycle....hence mid-week reversals....
- Cj We've just been talking about that, look at the past couple pages of posts....but 50pips is a good target on the M15....The TP areas and turning points are relative to the level of the rise or fall....you also have the 3 push rise or fall in price on a daily basis to use as clues....the other things we talk about, reversal RRT's, "W" and "M"'s which give 2 chances for exit....lots of different clues....
The 50 pips is a conservative TP.....consider the ADR range for the pair as well....are you in at the high or low ADR or the HOD/LOD....things like that will make a difference. Pg 69
- Cj We need to remember that when a new session starts, they hit the stops, high and low....to lock traders in positions for the oncoming session. Take a look at the pin high and pin low on a lot of the charts....it happens on every session change.
- Cj If this is the start of a new 3 day cycle, we could see 2 more days of downward pressure... you have the option of holding to the the next peak low, closing on reversal candles or closing each day as price pulls back into the ranging session and taking new entry when the pattern presents again....
When stacking, I look to the pause in each leg down, as places to add or close positions....many times after a level 3 high or low, there will be 3 legs of price drop or climb... the "M" or "W" may present itself as a reversal pattern when the series is complete. Pg 76
- ihDt (Lio) Excellent summary by Lio. A must read Pg. 77

So far so good, will take a break for now at page 77. I will start practising what I have learnt so far on demo this week coming.
Cheers

Good work Leon!

I've been doing a similar thing for some time now. Every time the next bit clicks in my brain I re-read the first 100 pages or so and always find new illuminations, like you're seeing the same thing but on a different (or multiple) levels.

It's interesting how my notes have changed over time. They're actually becoming more simplified. Whether this is because I'm being Lazy, not needing so many details, or starting to fit CJ's teachings around my way of trading is yet to be seen.

I've seen numerous posts about the A-K pattern(pg - 1). For me many of the interpretations are to literal. CJ's notes about how we are manipulated are invaluable but I TRY to lend them to many other patterns and situations.

Cheers

Jon

I hesitate to post sometimes because I'm not sure what I have to offer yet except a little skill, a little luck and some mistakes. Ok so here's one; was I wrong trying to sell the EA (multiple times) and if so, why? Price has continued up since then. I guess I need to learn better which is the most likely direction price will move. Thanks.

Hi Jon,

Yes I must say this is the only way I will learn by having a quick reference guide for anything that I am unsure of. It is much more difficult when putting it into practise so I find that I go back into the the reference guide many times a day.

Thanks to Rewand I have simulated the A to K pattern on USDCAD and am going into this all the time to see the moves in real time.

I do find that I am relating to the 3 day cycle runs as desribed by Cj, by looking at the 1Hr chart. I have the auto sessions box only on the Asian session so it is nice to see when we have a daily drop or rize in the asian session levels hence I can relate to level counting on the 15 min timeframe.

Anyway a long road ahead but I am very encouraged by what I am seeing.

Cheers
