As mentioned by nanningbob, it does not mean that we shouldn't trade other currencies, its just that those currencies where the traders are awake have a higher probability of bigger moves i.e more chance of either losing or winning $

For now, my strategy is to balance up my trades, at most 3 of the same pairs on either side. Trade based on 10.2a and 10.3 signal 1 hour before opening. Both red, put a sell, both green, put a buy.

I'm risking slightly more at this juncture 1.25% max loss per trade, average profit so far is at .5% so I would need about 3 profit trades for each loss trade. However with BE at 10,2, it has kept my loss trades to a minimum :D

Dear all,

appreciate comment if my analysis is correct
AUDUSD_2013_01_23.PNG
AUDUSD, 10.2 is buy, 10.3 is sell, now its at WR1 but there seems to be some resistance at 1.0566. So i should put a buy stop there. if it breaks out then it should be a big move?

Kwanann,
Yeah if it Breaks, but remember that you are Hanging Around a Major S/R Zone on the Higher Time Frames... it might Go either Way now..
But Let's wait and See.

I wouldnt expect any breakout until the USA session. Both AUD and USD banks are closed so dont expect much for at least 2 hours or more.

OMG, this is so obvious!

Bought eurnzd this morning, went to d1 r1 stayed around there, finally BE at r1 then I closed the trade at Eur 2pm. Right after it went up up and away..

On a side note, during trading today, I suddenly remembered something. In dec when 10.3 was still in beta, and I was running multibob 10.2, it used to have high dd at the start before reversing and giving me the same dd amount but in +ve. Then I traded 10.3 manually. using the pivots I opened the initial lot based on both 10.2 and 10.3 having the same color. However when it went the other way, I added a lot about 20-30pips away from my initial lot. Then waited for it to reverse. This reversal usually didn't take very long and I ended up with triple the pips.

Not sure if this is considered counter trend trading, but that worked pretty well. Going to try it again tonight and see how it goes

Bank of Canada decides to do nothing so price moves 50-100 pips across the board. SHeeeeesh. I almost traded the eur/cad but said WHY? Nothing is going to happen. Up 90 SO FAR.

Anekdote for future reference:

As I'm not always available to sit behind the PC, I concentrate on the crossing of the WP. I have pending orders for the pairs in groups 3, 4 and 5 due to them being the most volitile.

At 15h50 my local time, the GBPCAD turned green on the Empty4, signalling that price has become within 10 pips of my entrypoint, crossing the WP from below -> open long. I opened the chart, and see that for weeks, the trend has been down. Thought for a second, and decided to remove the pending-buy and open a sell instead so I could take avantage of this big retracement and enter into the trend at a VERY good spot.

Literally within 10 minutes the price climbed 80 pips, making my original [now removed] pending very profitable, but taking out my sell SL instead...... :(

NEVER re-think a strategy while executing it.... :D

Woohoo, thanks for the heads up! Trading the whiplash that always comes whenever a news events kicks in. While this whiplash is not as fantastic as the JPY one, its at 35 pips and counting

*didnt get all 35pips, but came out with 26pips, got another 10 from eurusd retracement :D

All positions closed, going to bed a happy man tonight, tomorrow is another day to earn more $
