Hello TLF, what do you mean with GMT-0-Criminal ? FxPro isn't in the GMT-0 timezone. They are located in Cyprus (GMT+2) |

^ Can you upload the statement of this incredible week as well? If you look back a few pages on this thread. MarcelloT also had an incredible week in the past, but he also had a horrible following week which resulted in a basket with high DD. I think we all got excited on the MarcelloT results, and we tried to replicate it ourselves, and basically hit a rough patch like MarcelloT in the subsequent weeks. So what did you change exactly on the OOTB EA? It looks fairly similar to OOTB in the settings. |

TLF, Can you please continue to run your EA for a few more weeks, and come back to let us know how it is? The reason is because we have had good weeks, but when the bad weeks come, it will go deep into drawdown because there is no mechanism to exit normally besides the take profits. Especially with your large lots used, you just might wipe your account when that drawdown comes from the PB strategy. I would be grateful if you kept us in the loop over the next several weeks. And does your baskets re-enter itself after closing? So completely hands off? I'm still using the original EA that Steve posted, so when a basket closes, it does not reopen a new basket for some reason. Sometimes, you have to close Empty4 or reset the EA on the chart to get new trades. |

It's rocking this week. It had a 13% equity gain yesterday and only 1 1.6% losing basket that was opened around 10-11am EST yesterday. I just set an equity loss of 1.5% day and when it's hit I just stop trading for the day, if it's the first basket or the 15 basket. Once it loses something is wrong. I keep an eye on it and can use discretion to decide to turn it back on b/c it just hit a Frankfurt reversal or keep it off for the day if the market is very choppy. I analyzed the losing trades and basically it just opens up the basket right as the market is reversing. I purchased the flux capacitor from backtothefuturetrading about 3 years ago for both Empty4 and NinjaTrader. I stopped using it because my tape reading has gotten so good. Well, now I'm automating everything so I will only need 1-2 hours screen time a day. And so, I went up into the attic to dust off the ole flux capacitor and (if your data is genuine) see if it eliminates most of the losses. And boy does it help a ton... Other things to consider.. --If most of the pairs have put in 90% or so of the projected daily range (if you trade US session with this strategy) then do NOT use it. Or use common sense and do not bottom or top tick yourself. ----If you wake up and start trading at 8am est and you notice EU is down 76 pips on the day and the projected range is 115 if you are buying then THE ONLY WAY THIS WILL WORK IS IF EURO LAUNCHES past the daily open and puts in 30 pips from the current high. ---Conversely, if you wake up and EURO has put in 110 pips to the downside with a projected range of 115 you do not want to be selling. More than likely an 8:30 eco report will spike lower and print a pin bar and fly and there you are holding the bag as euro drifts higher 30-40 pips and stops in a 10 pip range for the next 9 hours. <<<_____________________ THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BASKET DRAWDOWN!!!! usually at 11pm-2am EST or 8-10am EST I'm convinced you can become a multi-millionaire from a couple grand in equity in one year if you dedicate yourself to understanding this strategy and you have put in some decent screen time. TLF, Did you modify the EA to open new trades after the basket is closed? Because from what I remember, the EA will close in profit, and then it won't open new trades until you reset it manually. Also, what is your starting balance? A 1.5% stoploss seems rather low. You are swinging $5 per pip in your settings. And you kind of lost me at the flux capacitor, I didn't know if you were speaking in metaphor or real. So you are saying to open this not during 11pm-2am or 9-10am. So when is the ideal time to trade this? I really don't understand because you say you want to be automated, then you are deciding when to turn the EA on or off manually. I would love just make a profit with this strategy. If you think you can make a million dollars from a couple grand, I would love to be a part of that. Just let me piggy back off your Empty4 to riches!!! Hehe. |

I still can't get this EA profitable, even following TLF settings. I would make a few bucks initally with the EA. Then it would go into a big DD. I haven't tried implementing a 1.5% daily stoploss. But this looks like it will involve turning it off and on manually, and knowing how to time the market. So we are getting into discretionary trading. I'm really trying to hard to make this work. |
