Hi rbetancor,

the EA uses the last HGI Main Signal for determining the direction of the trade. Simply. I think the HGI is the best entry indicator for most EAs.

About the management and exits of the trades, I cannot explain them, under the risk of being banned from this forum :D .

Respecting the option of limiting trading hours, I think that every modification must be reasoned, because I am of the opinion that this EA can trade profitably all the days and hours of the week, and has internal mecanisms for limiting high spreads.

Finally, you are using this EA with the DAX successfully. Congratulations. And I have included the trading of the gold with good results. This fact reassures me about the validity of the EA algorithm for managing the trades.

Hi José Luis,

I have done long-run test with M15 over various pairs and indices and on all of them there is a point in time, more or least when 45-60 ops are executed, where the equity curve goes under the balance one, and from that moment both curves divergs ... taking into account that it works with 0.01 lots, that means a lot of 'orphaned' ops not closed and let them run in loss.

At the end of every test I've done you get a 50% DD

Here its a graph of DAX from 2016-01-01 till today on M15

Hi rbetancor ,

I must remark the following:

-First, the backtests are a loss of time and are not allowed in this forum. Let's see if the demos and my live trading confirm your results and we must desestimate this EA.
-Second, the EA is a cooperative EA and requieres a minimum of 5 pairs (I am trading live 10) for compensating losses and winners between them.
-Third, in the next version the maximum number of trades opened per pair will be of 5, and an stop loss of 200 pips will be added to every trade.

Regards

Hi José Luis,

I'm also doing a forward test on a demo account, also please consider adding a comment feature, as is difficult to trace what ops are from the this EA on the account, when forwardtesting more than one.

I'm currently testing

CF-TOR-EL CAROLET BASELINE v9 Cooperative
MagoCooler HGI v3c multitimeframe
Forex Duck on cruise v10a
The Talisman v3

Very good results each of them, good work!

Hi,

results from MangoCooler for today.

I want to emphasize how the EA absorbs the operations of the losing pairs. But I recommend you to you try it.

Regards

José Luis

P.D. For rbetancor. Please let us know your impressions about the EAs you are testing. Also let us know where you have been since 2011 :) .

Hi,

I have received some good comments about EL CALORET BASELINE V9, and I am thinking to add three new parameters, and I would like to know your opinion. The three new parameters will be:

-MaxOrders = 15. Max number of buys or sells for a pair.

-BeginReversed: yes. I think renexxxx GridDancer EA reversed was a very good idea for ranging markets. For trending markets I have another idea:

-AutomaticReversion: this idea can be a little crazy, but it implies that if the MaxOrders for buys have been reached, the EA will only take trades in the direction that there orders free: sells in this case, independently of the direction of the market. If some buy trades were closed and the MaxOrders have not been reached, the EA will operate as normal again.

Finally, another idea will be that the EA will take account of the max and min prices traded at every moment and will not duplicate trades between these two prices.

Here there are my ideas for the next version at the moment.

Regards

Hi,

here we go with a new version to try from Monday.

Changes in this new version:

-MaxOrders = 15. Max number of buys or sells for a pair.

-the EA will take account of the max and min prices traded at every moment and will not allow new trades between these two prices.

Also, many thanks for the birthday wishes.

Regards

José Luis
