Yes,

I have several tests, The one that is doing best is H1, SL 100 JS 50, all else OOTB.

The only pairs I'm cutting are EURCHF and AUDNZD

Hello Steve,
I'm interested to use the same criteria to exit trades as we do for entries.

I have seen that in strong trends most of the time Sto gets over extended on the ob/os zone so I think that we can have the potential to harvest more pips on the way back to say 90,80,70 for an UT, trader's choice.

Could you please kindly modified the EA,if I could ask..... I'm not a coder.

If you don't want the buys closed at a Sto level and just want your stops to take them out can't you just set
CloseBuysAt =101 & same for sells = -1 :?:

Are you sure reanimating the SB ? Usually very rarely the coders go back to the old bots ... :youknow:

Or do have really persuasive results usinf this SB ? I, like some others here, didn't have after a longer run convincing results ... :?

Fundamentally this bot is solid. I think its dilemma is that it responds to trend changes way too slowly.

Stochy Bobby would be a better name. He's just a boy that needs a little extra supervision.

I never thought that setting the Sto levels out of range will disable the exit function and then just trail the stop or use the JS. Very good point, Thank you very much for your imput.

Not really AGT, I'm just in search of other alternatives. I get frustrated to give back pips with HGB even I don't trade Asian. I use JS, trail stops or close manually when in front of the screen but as I work on NY session and sleep during London, so I have not much time. I'm looking for a more steady monthly profit. Will visit your EA portfolio thread over the weekend and see if I can find something more suitable to me. Any suggestions? And thank you very much for your comments.

I agree with you ZYX, I like this bot very much because it places trades right on the money and this is the second part of the equation in my opinion. The first part is direction.

You are saying that reacts way too slow to trend changes because your trend is driven by the 240 MA. If you change to 60 MA will react faster and even faster using the slope function (TMA SLOPE)

For example, I'm trading TF H1 and my direction is H4 TMA Slope (first part of the equation) which is faster than H1 MA60. Entries done with STO 10,20,30 for an UT (Second part). And the most difficult part, to know when to exit now will be with a JS, BE or trailing a SL as I see fit and have time or well, at a predetermined target thanks to Zader's suggestion.

Nothing new but clear to me when organized in three sections. Will see what happens, hope this helps and thanks for your comments.

Hi Pipstubborn,

Have you considered Hurst Extention for setting TP if you are unable to keep a close eye? When you are around to exit manually TDMTL gives some great clues. (I never close on opposite with HGB as either a false exit too soon or way too late as you say).

I am not sure that Stochy Bob can beat HGB for entrances though. I am sure Bob said he felt HGI was slightly quicker hence why it was introduced. If you just put the trend arrow alone on a chart and compare with the entrances taken with Stochy Bob I guess that would answer it. i.e. has the arrow appeared before Stochy Bob has entered.

If you forward test this do let me know how you get on as would be interesting to know the difference either way...
