First live money basket closed. You would expect a retrace at some point, so I have piled straight back in. Distance between trades 20 pips; jumping stop of $0.5 kidking in at $1.00 |

Hi, Would it be possible to provide a user setting for the EA to open the grid at a preset price that is manually entered. I am thinking of testing Gertje using R1 & S1 daily readings off Scoobs RSI and Squalou’s indicator on the manual trading thread here on the forum. Nicastro |

FIO, I have uploaded the latest incorporating Nicastro's thingy and the pips take profit into post 1. There is nothing new, so no need to redownload. |

Hi, The Swap cost is a point to watch: Right now I have a AUDUSD basket open. total 6, 3 buys and 3 sells, 0.04 Lot, target $ 3,- no Trend detection, no tma. For the shorts I have to pay $ 2.18 each for the long positions I receive $ 0.95 in 2 cases. Overall cost so far $ 4.64. That looks like a programmed loss, or am I mistaken? Any comments are welcome. Added: the total "profit" is -22.50 $ |

Yep. Find yourself selling AUDxxx, CADxxx, NZDxxx for any length of time and you take a beating. If your basket ends up predominantly selling these pairs and the basket hangs around for a while, you will watch your profits drain away at speed. On t'other hand, buying them is good fun. |

As one never knows, if short prevails over long, it might be the best to stay away from those pairs or do you think it makes sense to adjust the target? |

This is so awesome!! I'm setting up AUDUSD and EURUSD now on many different brokers to get some settings for NFP. I agree with scoobs, we can set up a grid for most USD major pairs and a tight trailing equity or pip stop and kill it. Cori, there is NO need to open anything over your MINIMUM lot size, you can always increase the multiplier by 1000 if you need to. It kind of reminds me a bit of 7bit's (Barry K) snowball (antigrid he calls it). He has modes for the system that are objects on the Empty4 chart that you just click on and move it and turns on "buy only" "sell only" or "bi directional" I'll create an edited version of this with those parameters and/or perhaps start another thread. (https://sites.google.com/site/prof7bit/snowball) I want to show you a trade on AUDUSd on a live account with FysheHorton. Look at how much heat you'd be taking but with a smart and tight trail stop, we took our profits and avoided draw down. |

Could you give us an idea of the settings you are using bigpipn? I have been playing around with 10xspread pip gaps and small TP targets for low spread pairs but have made a few mistakes. The one issue with it is if you leave the EA running with those settings and they open trades when spreads are wider you can end up in a situation where profit isn't reached after the 2nd buy/sell and then things can get a bit messy - each additional trade costing the spread when you are aiming for a small tp target. Interested to see what setting you are using when you are looking at your trailing stops as, for example, if spread = 1 pip (on say a USD pair), you have a $3 target you need a 3 pip clear profit - which, with a 10 pip gap, comes at starting point + 16 pips. Are you just using a bigger TP and trailing the profit pretty tight to lock in small profits? |

I thought about this too as I spent some time looking at the Scoobs/Squalou setup. It seems that perhaps only trading pairs that qualify under the RSI Trend display indicator that you created Steve might be a good option? So not just 20 period daily RSI >55||<45 but "moving in the right direction" relative to the previous period? |
