i fixed the sentiment-indicator because it prints an error in the experts-tab (see pic.) and this is not neccessary and only produces hugh log-files.

Cheers

P.S.: if you like it then please give me vouches at FF. The more vouches the more respect me at FF. Oh man, what a kindergarden.

Okay, slowkey,
here are my results for the new EA. a quick note, the pic includes 3 FX crims and the results. small caption exlains a little about the settings. i dont know if we need more than that for this pupose, it was either opt1 or opt3. the ones showing only 'opt' were on '3'.

I had no positions using citiFX criminal, AND THIS IS SAD  because i really played with the settings there by using all the trend settings at once, tweaked and played and did all sorts of thingies to it, with nice comments too!. the tweaking obviously caused conflicts with-in the EA, but no errors. It seems we have to chose one, and stick to it. i'm going to go over Eval's post's again and let you all know what settings i'm going to run with again, before we start a new set.

Clearly, Eval shows his system and how it works. we know manually, this can be very profitable, but need to find the best method for an EA, taking out the human 'gut feel' or chart pattern genius' methods.

all i can summarise about my results is that following the lower TF to take a position when the higher TF equals the lower, does not work on this, exactly as Eval predicted and warned. So we should try and get closer to the symphonie settings/rules as we can. i'm going to study the settings option once i download Steve's editted option 2 version, and post what settings i will use before we start..

ps: i have no open positions on any crim at the moment. there were none to close. :|

hope this helps everyone,
regards
george

Morning Steve,

!!!!'newb, noob' warning!!!

i need some advice about the new download from post 1. do i put it in the experts directory and the chart will auto pick up the new EA, or must i re-install all the charts and then drag the expert into each one again?

@ george,

close Empty4, install the EA and restart Empty4 again. then it is updated and all settings remain the same.

Hang in there George. It has not been but a few days. Lots of things to try. Lots of filters. There has been a lot of sideways and slow movement this week except for gbpjpy. I have not liked the way the ea has triggered trades in low momentum periods or how the market has been this week. We can filter some of this out probably. There is a lot that is sound in my book about this system because it captured so nicely the move on gbpjpy the other night. Steve has trade times and all kinds of filters we can try built into his shell. This EA will need to cook in my book a week or two. I am just going to look at what happens on the laptop and than keep trying things on the server. I really have not seen enough because version 2 has only been running a day or two. I do not count version 1 has viable because it does not implement fully evaluators system. So I am not worried about my results there. Most of the losses have occurred on laptop when trades were triggered in the Asian session and periods of low momentum. I may end up restricting the time period to trade to the EUR-NY period. But really there is not enough that I have seen of version 2 to say it will not work with a few more adjustments. The rsi filter may filter out periods of low momentum. I have not seen a trade triggered on the server during the night with it on. The two triggered on the laptop look to be losses.

I think I might take my stop back to a 1-1 on the laptop. Looked at the 50 pip loss and said "ouch" this AM on gbpusd. USDJPY is dropping but I do not no if the sell will make it a winner. Looking forward to next week to give the ea a fair chance to prove it self.

There is simply no momentum on gbpnzd but it took a trade there in the last hour. I guess because both main indicators were in sync for a short time but now both none. This can be filtered out I think.

Post subject:  EUR/USD

Hi,

I finally got 2 EUR/USD trades, on Liteforex criminal (I have a demo here just because I can get charts of Dollar Index, Dow Jones, S&P, a lot of stuff on their Empty4, or SIG4, as they call it). You can see them below, the chart is H1.

Exit strategy 1, SL 30, HTF 60, LTF 5.

Still nothing on Alpari UK criminal.

Well I had 3 losers on gbpnzb when it was consolidating. But it made a nice move and picked up a win on the 4th try with a break out. We have a lot of indicator setting to look at. What works for manual trading does not always do best on an ea. There a tremendous amount here to play with and will take some time to sort it out. It strikes me that something as simple as not to trade unless adx value greater than 20-25 or something would get us a better condition. I need to go through all of the indicators and see what is comprising them. We may already have something that will work better built in and just need a different number. It does not have to be set up as sensitive as a manual setup. We can stick it on a lot of pairs and get a lot of action. We need it sensitive to the best condition. If it is going to initiate trades during period of consolidation it seems that can be filtered out.

One of the losers I just closed out because it was going no where. Shutting down for the week. Closed out all positions. Start again sunday with 30 pip stop and target. Seemed to work best.

Actually looking at the hourly chart the market has not moved to badly this week. It just that we seem to be getting trades triggered in not the best of conditions. This is where evaluator can help us because he knows his indicators so well. Maybe he can zero in a little better on what might help.
