Hi Gertjan.

First I want to second the previous posters from the deepest of my heart.

Very well done, mate!

But now I take a deep breath and make some remarks.

The race is still open. You were running out-of-competition with PoS, as the rules were clearly defined in my first post:

Now here is the deal: Whoever will reach a profit of 100,000 pips (documented on FXTestify) using FXT-SPB-3 without modifying the code, will be entitled to a very special once-in-a-lifetime trophy. Not speaking about the eternal glory of being in the exclusive circle of the best EA tamers.

What you have achieved, is beating the best performing FXT-SPB3 tests by far with your setup. You have found something that is possibly even better, letting aside manual interventions. While the leading FXT-SPB3 tests have gained somewhat above 50,000 pips, you made 100,000.

Chapeau again. I am thinking of a very special trophy to send you.

Now where can we go from here? We could make your setup available to the broad public in an easy to handle form and start a new race with something like a FXT-POS1. If you would like that, PM me.

PS. Your results on FXT are only available until 19-06-05 with around 60,000 pips. Would you mind to check the database connector?

PPS. Regarding the difference in pips between TDesk and your other tool, I can see that TDesk is showing only closed trades. Click the left top table header and switch to all trades. Is that more plausible? You can also compare to the values of Rene's TradeReport. He is our best coder and his numbers will be the most trustable.

Hi Thomas, and all,

I’m not claiming the 1st place, or any trophy whatsoever as i’m fully aware that I broke the rules.
Just wanted to show my result, as i’m somewhat proud of it.

I think TDesk and the trading EA can automate what I did manually, I just didn’t put enough time in it.

I am running my own 4 tests with FXT-SPB3 for months now. The pips per day results are over 300. Now Ben has found a setup that triples that. The conditions of this challenge were simple. Try to make 100,000 pips with FXT-SPB3. I know the configuration changes Ben made. He had a tighter grid, used more pairs and adjusted the SS threshold. These changes lead to a better result.

The whole test was about doing clever adjustments. However, if this is lunatic, it may be so.

Were we not all supposed to be running the version from post 1 here?

For sure, it is what I have been doing and it is has been doing rather well.

Does your post not relate to someone who appears to be a lunatic and to whom subsequent posts have been deleted?

Feel free to do some tidying up. You have the authority to do so.

I am not aware that Ben (@bodavid) did run anything other than the expert from post 1. Nor I am aware that he is a lunatic and got his posts deleted. Ben is one of the good guys and helped me a lot by indexing all the drones and setfiles.

It is not easy to fool FXTestify and all extraordinary results are manually checked by me. They are either valid or get deleted. Ben's results are valid for what I can see. This challenge was about revealing the true potential of SPB and Ben found it.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for creating this fantastic forum and for all the SPBs and other EAs that you have created through the years.

Without YOU the results, that FXT-SPB3 is producing would not be possible.

And without the initiative from Thomas and Renee to set up and create FXTestify we might never have been able to find out how good SPB is.

Thanks to Thomas for setting up long term tests and finding out which settings works best with SPB.

Without you guys and the results that comes from the testing in FXTestify I would never have been able to adjust the parameters in FXT-SBP3 to produce these astonishing results.

I hope you now can believe that the results are real.
