Ok, thanks Gary & Lifesys. Beginning to see why Alpari UK moved to GMT+2 now. Never bothered me before as i was focusing on m5/m1 charts. But since i came across NB10 it started getting confusing with brokers all over the timezones.
Many Forex groups will only work with NY close synched charts, being THE system that makes sense.
Just Google "NY Close Charts" and see why.
My view is that anyone posting EAs on a forum should set up with NY close (GMT+3/+2) synch charts or the "time" fiasco continues. Some Forums such as Nial Fullers only accept NY close charts
That might be a bit much to ask, but some clarity is sometimes needed. I've also seen many a discussion about the same topic, all over the fora. And it can be hard to explain at times. Good thing about Demo accounts, you can get the brokers platform and test within minutes. The server GMT time is relevant though when posting charts. Like garyfritz says, on a 6-day D1 candle, the Stochs differ, be it just slightly, as do other indi's. Might still be that the number of trades even out in the end, over a longer period.

Cowboy IBFX AU (demo) quit sending data at last night at 20:59:59 (GMT), where GO and Alpari did not. Bit weird?

:shock: Sorry Steve, I know sometimes we newbies need some yelling: I have your post answering my beast-question always in front of me, thank you. And I know you usually read what you get, BUT have you really looked at my attachement, which is a snip of my settings and of the screen. To complete I add my entire set-file and another snip of the screen of one of the swap-filtered pairs, which seems to work fine.
All I am saying: the set-file and the screen info are not congruent and I wonder why and which is true.

in your setfile "OnlyTradePositiveSwap" is set to true. in your older posting you attached a screenshot of USDJPY. since USDJPY has ONLY negative swap in both direction (at least at my crim), it's disabled.

Hehe. To make you feel better and give you yet another laugh at my expense.

My demo with all the balance/swap etc filters turned off took a GU sell last night.

My live account did not. I was using the version uploaded to post 1 here. Which had OnlyTradePositiveSwap accidentally enabled by default. :oops:

So, I took the trade manually instead. Just before the pair started its upwards climb. Hey ho.

FWIW, V 1f in post 1 has OnlyTradePositiveSwap turned off by default. This is the only change, so if you have already sussed this for yourself, you do not need the update.

I believe GDay Mk2 is what I have been looking for but would appreciate your comments since behaviour is not quite what I expected on test.
I am using a manual system comparing TMA slope with Stoch retracement levels e.g.
TMA <0.4 >-0.4 then short on stoch 80 X long on stoch 20 X
TMA >0.4 long on Stoch 30 X & TMA <-0.4 short on 70
TMA >0.8 long on Stoch 40 X & TMA >-0.8 short on 60
Use stoch X to exit for the first 2 entries and TMA <0.4 > -0.4 for exit on the last.
I like the risk management multiple exist you have built into GDay Mk2 - mistake by newbies that I am trying not to make is 80% focus on entry rules and the rest is an after thought....anyway
I would like to take an end of day manual plan to H4 Auto... what are my options using the portfolio of EAs you have developed e.g. Gday.

i forgot to say this... if you have a live-account at Cowboy Go Markets (and i think you have?), then u can send a request to them to convert your demo-accounts from 30-day-demo's to non-expiring demo-accounts. i've done this already many times with Bully Pepperstone-demos and just asked Cowboy Go Markets today, if they offer the same. the answer was yes.
i just remembered, that you set up a new Cowboy Go Markets demo, each time the old one was expired...

but to do so, on the account all trades and pending have to be closed.

The problem still stands for USA citizens living in their homeland as they have to deal with the time zones their crims use (those who don't seem high risk like PFG, and no deposit insurance out of EU, Swiss & Canada! AFAIK) :|

V 1g is in post 1.

This new paragraph from post 1 explains the update. If you do not want this feature, you do not need the update:
"I have learned to trade small lot sizes, so a trade can go a long way against me without it causing bother. I am happy to leave a loser up and running so long as it is making positive swap. KeepOpenPositiveSwapLosers is the input that allows Gday to override the normal trade exit if the trade is losing but the swap is positive."
