Can someone tell me the attraction with trading so many currencies? I can see for example all the JPY crosses are in the x ok and surprise suprise they have all moved in the same direction. They are all correlated surely. |

Sorry typo x ok was supposed to be myfxbook link That Trader provided. There is a lot of correlation in currencies. |

Thats not necessarily how I trade. That Trader is testing the original EA and how effective it is --and trying to "break it" so as to identify it weaknesses so it can be improved--or to just generally get a feel for what works best (please correct me if I'm wrong, TT). Also because this was intended as a scalper you're aiming at small retracements during Asian session with the idea is that a lot of pairs will bring more profit (because no trade never ends in an accumulated loss). But that increases chances of risk which is draw down which is what we're trying to solve. In principle I have solved this but there are still some issues with getting the first trade to end in some profit and not just break even and getting all this coded into the existing EA. Any trade that goes beyond 2 levels will always profit--mathematically it has to. The problem is now with coding...and those pesky spreads. |

Yep--still testing. Its very difficult to do manually. The EA I'm using to test is an extension of Fx Pooler But inevitably there are teething problems which I'm trying to get ironed out. When its done I'll start a new thread. In the mean time (since last Thursday) I've made some decent pips on Strat 1 |
