Dear Client,


Based upon the results of our Customer Satisfaction Survey, FinFX will change the time zone of the Helsinki server to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+0) / Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+00:00) over the weekend of February 9th - February 10th 2013.

The change will have an impact on the following trading accounts:

- Demo accounts

- Micro accounts

- ECN accounts



Please note that this might require you to adjust your Expert Advisors or Indicators to the new time zone. Switching the server’s time zone to GMT+0 also means that the daylight saving time (DST) will not be used anymore.

Hmm, exactly the opposite of what most of us want, isn't it?

Hey all,
While enjoying trading this system I noticed that many times the price action will go the oposite direction. Many times the price will hit the DS or DR pivot level and retrace back in the direction it came from.
Having studied pivot points for years, and looking at the Data Bob has produced have stared to enter counter trades at the pivots. Like Bob has brought out many pairs respect and stay within the pivots, or return back in shortly. I have an retracment EA that I have tried it with and although it works and TPs it crashes my Empty4 when I remove it. I have been trying several line trading EAs but most are pure junk or won't work. Please look at the pictures with this post to see what I am talking about. A brave man could enter on each pivot point up to the third DR or DS and set his stop out farther. One of the reasons this has intrest with me is I miss many trades while I sleep and have watched the price hit a pivot and retrace the other way while I think man I could have set an entry at that pivot the night before. Bob what do you think is this pure malarchy or does it have merit?

I'm wondering why they would do this move as well. I'd like to hear their reason behind the switch if anyone is privvy.

Be interesting if pending orders could be coded by an EA.

NB, pending orders at pivot S/Rs certainly can be generated by an EA - if Steve has time, maybe he will do this....

I'm having a blast today with the WP-crossing, am 9-1 for the day.

I noticed that the DP-DO EA's in the first post don't work with 'market adapted DP times', is that right?

Any chance forone of the amazing programmers to change these EA's? I would be MOST grateful!!

NB, pending orders at pivot S/Rs certainly can be generated by an EA - if Steve has time, maybe he will do this....

Steve is this possible? I would gladly make a generous contribution and of course the EA would be public to all who wanted it. This is what I was thinking, of course you know aim at the stars and land on the moon.

1. Draw a line or set a limit order at the DR 1 or DS 1 with the option of up to two more pending limit orders upon the opening of the first order, the settings to be at each DR 2, DR3, or DS2, DS3, depending on the trade.

2. Take profit and Stop loss can be adjusted according to trade style.

3. If TP is reached all limit orders are canceled.

4. If the DR2, or DS2 is filled the TP is adjusted back to just after BE of the first entry DR1 or DS1 to pay commission fee. Upon seconadary TP all orders are closed and or canceled. Or the option of closing one at BE and leaving the one to run in profit.

5. A trailing or jump stop wold be nice but not a nessesity.

6. Of course lot size, magic number etc. would be helpful.

I have been using Russ Horns line trader to place these trades, but I need to start a new line when the first is filled and I need to close them seprately.

This type of trading is not for everyone, and each resistance, or support that is passed your open position is doubled. The thought is price retraces after a pivot point or two is hit leaving an opportunity for a new trade. Be aware though news can kick you right between the legs for these trades...
