I am glad to see you here. I have followed your Extreme TMA thread in its early stages to Bob which uses the roots of the Slope experimentation from your thread into the now dominant and well engineered CSS. With Bob and your guidance I have become more confident in my trading to date. I hope to surpass the 86 trade record one day as a goal. So far I am only up to 21. As I remember you are quite the scalper. If you could shed more light on the topic using these tools that would be greatly appreciated.

I thank you and Bob personally for your time and dedication to the trade. You gents will truly continue to be rewarded by your generosity.

Thanks!
Lionsden
Hello Lion !! I remember you well...

Yes. I scalp a lot, which makes the 86 trades easier to understand. As long as I get 10 to 20 pips I am happy, so many times I will exit trades before I should, but I feel more relaxed doing so than holding on. Remember that I don´t use stop losses (Only at 200 pips for emergencies), so sometimes I will get into drawdown before the trade does what it is supposed to do. That is not for everyone...

The key is to trade small enough that you can give a trade time to do its thing. I also withdraw profits from the account every week, so the most I can lose is the balance on the account. Again, I do this for peace of mind... A relaxed trader is a profitable trader...
A man after my own heart. Agree whole heartedly. I have been letting my account grow and its almost 7 times bigger than it was 3 years ago so havent been taking profits since I paid off all my credit cards. Debt free with a growing account and growing savings account. Now if the govt. can keep printing that money and artificially bloating the stock market my IRA wont be doing too bad either. LOL Preach it brother!! Wonder if Spanish has an idiom like that?

It was a loud alarm to a potential turn in GBPCAD... You can plainly see what just happened. I cheated and even though the Dummy Bar was red, I took a short and profitted. It was just too good to let it go...
Your suppose to take shorts on red dummy bars. :) You probably meant green. If you note high end charts like daily that is the 9th time price has hit the R location and I was on every one after the first. A weekly shows 6 rejections at that R area the last 9 weeks so its a great trade. I have picked up 420 pips the last 2 weeks playing that bounce off of the top. The TMA shows these trades much better.
Good trading there... Yes, I guess I´m getting color blind from staring at the screen 14 hours a day...

Traded GBPCAD back to breakpoint MST, +119 pips. Used CSS, TMA, Gann Octaves, MST for analysis.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Taking a long weekend break to NYC, back in saddle on
Tuesday.

Cheers.

Here is the explanation of the indis...

FastLineTMA: It updates on every tick the current bar only. The past bars are updated at bar close only. It was designed this way because normal TMA indis bring the processor to its knees.

The Orange TMA is H1, H4 is Magenta, D1 is Aqua and W1 is Green. It is important to start your analysis on the W1 chart. Only the W1 TMA will appear and it will give you a sense of the long term trend. Move to the D1 TF and the D1 and W1 appear. It gives you a good idea of where price is on the Daily with relation to the Weekly. Move to H4 TF and the H4, D1 and W1 TMAs appear. Now you´re cooking. This is the most important view. Where we are on H4 in relation to the D1 and W1. Finally you change TF to H1 and all 4 TMAs appear. This one is ideal for trade entry and exit and getting a look at the very short term relationship. When you analyze starting with the W1 TF and ending with the H1, you have a solid grasp of what the pair is likely to do.

50 Bars Back: I created this to help me view what price has to do in order for the TMA to continue on the current path or begin its turn. Since my TMAs are 50 Period, by looking at the 50 Bars Back Red dotted vertical line, you see the next bar that will be incorporated into the average when the current bar ends. If the current bar is lower and the 50 Bars bar is higher, the TMA will move up. If the current bar is high and the 50 Bar is lower, the TMA will move down at bar close. By looking at the bars to the right of the 50 bars back, you get a good feel for what the price has to do to keep the TMA in the path it is in. If the bars drop to the right of the line, price has to drop also to keep the TMA on path, or the TMA will start a turn. With practice, this little tool is invaluable. You would not believe the predictability you achieve with practice using it together with the TMAs.

60 Bars Back (Green Dotted Vertical Line): The same applies as above, but relating to your 60 Period Moving Average. For me it is essential to know what price has to do to keep the average moving in the direction it is now.

240 Bars Back (White vertical line): Same as the others but relating to the 240 moving average.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is my first rough thoughts of using TMA (numbers adjusted for quicker reaction using TMA true so lines dont change once candle is closed) instead of DP line. STO7 is changed to 90/10 for warnings. TMA top broken STO 7 signal. 10.6 readings with 4H CSS. gbp/nzd run.

1. First 10.6 read price touches the GREEN 60 MA showing range period entered. Trading both directions viable but only going to show trend trades. So we are looking at sells.
2. STO 7 now is in play. Warning given when price crosses the 90 line. YELLOW
3. Confirmation that price has breeched the top TMA line.
3a. pending sell trade is then set at xxx.000 or xxx.050 line.
3b. TP goal is the bottom line or use CSS or xxx.000 or xxx.050
4. CSS read tan nzd is higher than blue GBP so it is stronger showing sell only.
5. Trade series ends with CSS nzd and gbp touch or cross OR price touches green MA showing range area entered again.

Start new trades with STO 7 signal and breech of TMA or ride CSS signals until nzd and gbp cross, near, or touch. 6 total trades in a 4 week period. All go hundreds of pips but that is gbp/nzd very volatile.

This is strictly an idea at this point. DP is removed and replaced with TMA

4 reads to enter a trade.
1. 10.6 range or trending read.
2. TMA read
3. STO 7 read
4. CSS read

ALL agree go. This does not work on 1H.
All times are UTC Page 168 of 234
