An attempt with the Secret Trendy Bob (STB) started now (GP 24). For this bot MPTM is set with TP = 30 $.
Have only little hope for these two: "Colleen Bollinger IX" (GP 15) and "x!meter HGNP 3" (GP 16) - they both suffer from the GTG (GridTradingGap). It seems to me there is no realistic chance for gap closing (GAP between balance and equity). Perhaps it will be much better to the "Matilda II" ;) !

Forgot to mention: my 4 platforms with SBB (GP 7,12,22,23) are now all switched to the new v. 1n and restarted after simply closing manually the previous trades generated by the former 1k version.

I decided to stop the "Colleen Bollinger IX" (GP 15) and "x!meter HGNP 3" (GP 16) bots.
Change was made: Instead of the 2 grid traders above the recently posted "Matilda II" and "Matilda WW" are up and running now. ;)

And: I stoped the SBB testing accounts - the actual DD is simply to high for me ! As I can see in the SBB thread others here have the same trouble, even at live accounts. :o

I started a new test with the SBB v 1o, using the setfile Steve posted in the SBB thread, only slightly modficated.
Also the CF-TOR 104 is running now - although this bot is atm in an early optimization stage I decided to play with this baby. Lets see what will happen .... :)

And yes, I switched off the AUDUSD in the Matilda GP 6 account, running already since june 2014. Lets see: will the curve look so pretty smooth like it appeared bevor adding the AUDUSD pair ? Adding the AUDUSD immediatly downgraded the DD ... not much, but significantly. :mrgreen:

I collected the Matilda's into one account like a lovely family :lol: :

Excluded so far are these experimental Matilda's:
"Matilda II" (GP 15)
"Matilda WW" (GP 16)
They are on the TGTFX acc - and running more or less satisfactorily. Let's see and wait how they will do the job.
Furthermore I started 2 highly risky Matilda acc's with only 1k (!) - GP 3 + 7 (EURNZD+GBPUSD). Not sure about the development of these acc's ... will they survive ? What about the DD that will be generated in any case ?
The EURCHF isn't really a good/attractive pair - it has low DD's (ATM !) but the gains are small too. But anyway - it's good for later use ever.
All in all - this bot is on the very right way ! :yahoo:

So, what about the other EAs ? These are all non-gridtraders !
Firstly: I restarted the FB quite successful - GP 32 ! Amazing results so far !! :cheer:
But it's much to early for serious conclusions !
(Although woodland is running this bot already for a longer time - I used his setfile (slightly modificated) and recommendations posted in the thread)

Other Bob type bots:
Secret Trendy Bob (STB)
Stochy Bob (SB)
Secret Bob Basket (SBB)
are moving ahead pretty good !

The Pipcruiser's Pipmasher (GP 14) is up and chugging along ... that's a slowly and reliable bot ! Time will tell his advantages. 8-)

Two other bots are in test now: VM9999 is back with the "CF-TOR" ! I decided to start a forward test with v. 104. This bot seems to be in an early stage of development. A version 110 is already out - not finally optimized so far. So I let this v. 104 running so far ! So far so good ! :mrgreen:

And finally: Got a scalper EA for the "Open Scalping Strategy" from FF.com (GP 37).

(So far it gave only mixed results - haven't a clue about the future of this bot)

Hi peeps ! :hi:

Yes - of course all folks jumped know into that new HGB. I understand it's worth to do so - but it's also worth to have a look at the other (formerly) Bob type bots, bcz they so far acquit themself really well !
These Bob type EAs could be even more favorite then the Matilda - no grid trading, they easily may be started with 1k only !


The two newer Matildas are a bit vague atm .. have no clue about their forthcoming behavior. So far they seem to be very very long lasting traders. :?

Nothing to say about the classic Matilda - she is doing her reliable job for months now ! The 2 new started Matildas with 1k only are more sensitive to DD's as expected - anyway: so far so good.

The CF-TOR 104 so far gives quite satisfying results ! ;) All in all the CF-TOR story is atm in stage of development ... let's see what this babay will bring us.

Ah ... yes - I abandoned the OSS scalper mentioned above ... I got mostly loosers on my demos. Maybe that was to early ... who knows, but I have no confidence.

I've been lurking here, and following your posts.
Right now i am following in your footsteps.
I have a dedicated laptop only for demo testing :clap:

Of your demo's I find the Matilda EURCHF very interesting.
I've opened 2 demos on smaller account to see if they hold.
Also on lower TF to see if it can spice things up.

Do you manually interfere on the Matilda GP6 account?
I have been running Matilda hot for 8 months, but my DD seems to be much higher ;)

I never intervented manually the Matilda like all the other bots I have running in my "portfolio".
Accordingly to your Matilda test: ar first I cant see in your acc what's the lot size and what's the starting capital - its very dangerous to use to high lot size and/or to low start capital ! It's the best to use 0.01 lot and at 3k ! AND: use only one (!) currency - it the GBPUSD is optimal ! You used a number of other then GBPUSD currencies - that obviously vreated the higher DD and could honestly to say perhaps kill the acc.

So: this week we got again another useful, in fact well known lesson from the Matilda to learn – all the grid trading is not only dangerous, it is very sneaking, conniving and even sometimes malicious.
So – the EURNZD was running best during weeks and months – I imagined this bot is safe – but that was a false sense of security ! So in case of grid trading you may walk in markets/bots trap at any moment totally unforeseen !
The acc is alive … so far. But any market storm may develop again and it may be stronger yet.
The 2 small 1k accounts with the Matilda are further in deep DD’s like expected.
So its in fact impossible to do so … actually I had to switch them off, but anyway let them run, perhaps they can grow up and survive at the end … lets wait and see.



All the Bob type EAs (4 Bob’s: Fractalated Bob (FB), Secret Trendy Bob (STB), Stochy Bob (SB) and Secret Bob Basket (SBB)) are giving only mixed results – as you may see.

Interesting result gave the FB: using it with only a limited number of pairs (majors only) the results became worst after a good start. But I have running during this week an account with the FB and 15 pairs + a fixed TP of only 20 – and this one doing much better ! I’m curious about the next weeks the bot will trade and I hope it will be a success.

Anyway – may be all these Bob type bots are only intermediates on the way to the HGB ?

Nothing special so far to say about the 2 newer Matildas – they look already like position traders … very very slow trading, lets see what will happen the next weeks or months ?

Also, nothing special to say so far about the CF-TOR v 104. So far it shows pretty good results. But the guys there in VM’s thread are cooking much better and advanced versions step by step.

The best one, doing the job quiet and steadily is Pipcruiser’s Pipmasher ! Perhaps this is the best EA ever !
