They're making good on their promise about MT5 too: Russian software developer MetaQuotes said on Friday it has launched an updated version of the Empty4 5 (MT5) trading platform, which includes upgrades to the Array functions, among other things. The developer has added a new ArrayPrint function, which prints simple types and structures to the array log. The function does not print all fields of a structure array to logs – array fields and pointer fields of objects are skipped. Important Update for Empty4 4 build 1080 The Empty4 4 platform update will be released on May 12, 2017. We strongly recommend that you install this update. A month ago, Microsoft released a major update of their operating system Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703). After installing this update, some users were unable to run MQL4 programs in their terminals. This issue has been fixed in the new Empty4 4 platform build 1080. Now, Expert Advisors and indicators will run on charts correctly, while recompilation using the updated MetaEditor is not required. Support for Empty4 4 client terminal versions below 1065 will be discontinued on the 1st of October 2017. Unsupported terminal builds will not be able to connect to new server versions. We strongly recommend that you update your terminals in advance. The update will be available through the LiveUpdate system. |

Support for Windows XP/Windows 2003/Windows Vista to be discontinued after 01 October 2017 Windows XP was released almost 16 years ago, on 25th of October, 2001. It is now considered to be an outdated operating system. Microsoft stopped supporting this system 3 years ago, because potential hardware capabilities could no longer be realized on Windows XP due to technical limitations. Being an outdated system, Windows XP features a number of dangerous vulnerabilities, one of which was recently revealed by the WannaCry encryptor. That is why: The Empty4 platforms will no longer support Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista after 01 October 2017. Older versions of Empty4 4 and Empty4 5 will continue to work on these systems, but will not be able to receive updates after 01 October 2017. Also, installers will not run on these operating systems. The minimum required operating system version for running Empty4 4/5 will be Windows 7. Ignoring the problem does not make it go away. In a period of time, Empty4 will stop working and only MT5 will remain. In this forum you are not building code for MT5. I advise you to build the new code mql4, as close as possible to the mql5 code. To be able to make the transformation easy, and the transition to MT5 is not very traumatic. We have a great job ahead of us, to convert all the useful codes to MT5. The code for MT5 requires greater programming skills. What is your intention trying to spread panic with your first post? There is no missile approaching Hawaii. That said, let me assure you something: Empty4 will be there for a long time. Crapperquotes still supports it, develops fixes and sells terminal licenses. And when they really wanna force their customers into CrapT5, there will be a Empty4 emulation mode in CrapT5 or (third-party) libraries that do the trick. I am absolutely sure. Every other strategy would be suicide and some EA programmers would say they deserved it. So calm down and dont become too cheeky. Cheers |

My code is built with independent functions, which can work in the mt5 code. My proposal is totally positive. In the new Empty4 code constructions, do it as closely as possible to the mt5 code. So that the conversion of the code is easy and that it does not need the total rewriting of the code. Although it appears as the first publication, it is not true.
