It was USDJPY. That's what I mean by weak - only just dipping to zero on the sto7.

I'm sure Bob won't mind? I mean, he's not going to be around over Christmas and I'm sure he'd appreciate other folks chipping in to help others.

It doesn't help for me. Nor does dll imports and making sure experts are turned on. It doesn't even change what symbols are visible on the dashboard. I'm not convinced the sourcecode has been recompiled... no .ex4 file... searching... ok I think we can conclude that autoSymbols = false hasn't helped...

art / padnoter: figured out how to fix the dashboard. I was using the template but it does work if the indicator is added manually. So I open the dashboard template and then add the dashboard indicator. Perhaps the template was no good

I don't think there's any signals in this screenshot?... did I miss that AUDCAD just before the candle up?

Thanks Padnoter for your very helpful dashboard, I have been watching it to get familiar with it. Why are the two pairs, USDJPY and USDCHF not showing on the dashboard?

maybe the template is causing problems - if in doubt just add the indi to your own blank screen.
I'd select a busy chart pair for your timezone, I'm not an Empty4 expert - more a dabbler/hacker.. but the start() function only gets called when a new tick arrives on the chart/pair on your platform... so if you choose a chart that doesn't have many updates, then the dashboard won't update much either.

davek - usdjpy & usdchf not displaying? maybe you don't have them on your platform or maybe they are called something else.. try the suggestions above about the parameters & template refresh.

jago - no that wouldn't be a buy :!: for AUDCAD in your picture.. It's in a Downtrend (red block=H4 red traffic light) - price is below both H4 MAs.. DT = only look for shorts. Yes the stoch is going up - but that would be counter trend trading - not Bob 10.6 trading.

Hi Jago,

I am not technically sound because i am newbie in industry but i am trying to explain things what i have learned...

Fist i suggest you to remove your dashboard completely then reinstall it and then shut of your Empty4 and reopen it. Leave default settings on it place and change the time frame to refresh it. It might work fine....

about the DT and UT i have attached two images one is the dashboard and one is the chart. In this example i have taken AUDNZD. In the dashboard you can see that H1 trending down and H4 is also trending down. And it is matching with the chart because its turning down.....

so what i did...

1. Open your indicator and open edit window...
2. autoSymbols = false
3. go to symbolsToWeigh and enter manually all currencies which is supported by your broker...

Also i noticed that when i was entering in randomly it was comming up the same window but when i entered in alphabetic order its fixed...Also in alphabetic order you must make sure that you are considering the second character as well..

For example

AUDCAD AND AUDNZD then you must type like AUDCAD,AUDNZD but not other way around so GP supports around 27 currencies so i have typed like this and it worked...

AUDCAD,AUDCHF,AUDJPY,AUDNZD,AUDUSD,CADJPY,CADCHF,CHFJPY,EURUSD,EURGBP,EURAUD,EURCHF,EURJPY,EURNZD,EURCAD,GBPUSD,GBPCHF,GBPJPY,GBPAUD,GBPNZD,GBPCAD,NZDJPY,NZDUSD,NZDCHF,USDCAD,USDCHF,USDJPY,

I had issues with mostly usd pairs and nzd pairs so i only concentrated on them and rest i just made the group so it worked for me...if have more then 27 currencies then you need to add or you can just copy the list and paste it and it should work fine...

This is first time i am giving back a very very little to community and i am very happy...

Hey gang,

Bob I have two questions (but I'm happy for anybody to chime in) specifically and in general about tiered pending orders, market sessions, and exposure~

First, the obligatory huge 'thank you!' for all your work here. A gigantic amount of my growth as a trader is owed to you and the folks here on Steve's forum.

My questions are prompted by your comments about successfully trading low leverage/lots with multi level trading:

1.) In 10.4 the practice was to wait for a valid setup and then, at the same time, lay out a series of pending orders on that pair at the respective levels. Since we have removed the support/resistance levels and weekly pivot, do you still advocate the tiered approach with round numbers and DP? Would this be the same thing as multi level trading?

2.) In the 10.5 manual I was interested in the section you wrote about the currency sessions and how your trading day was split into 3 parts, and that you would often bank profits at the midway point of the session. Do you still make an effort to close trades in profit according to the time of day, or is it more about evaluating the strength of a trade at a given moment? And as a follow-up to get a sense of your process, do you typically have several positions open throughout the week as a result of volume? I feel like I jump on the good entrances as they occur but I definitely don't have near your volume of pips (well not positive pips at least :lol: ), and I would like to try increasing, but I want to do it the correct way ;)

Ultimately what I'm trying to do is increase my exposure with open positions so the edge of this system along with trend have more opportunity to be realized. I feel like this system really opens the doors to following a long term trend, but I'm limiting myself when I take profit at that first round number level and then leave it to look at other pairs.

I apologize in advance if this has been answered in part or full already. I haven't finished the latest pdf yet but I'm getting through it!
