Boldtrader,

These are both really helpful examples of combining 10.7 with ATR channels for mean reversion. Could you share your ATR settings for the indi for use on the M30 and H1 timeframes? I have Bob's settings to follow the 60LWMA on H4 but despite the fact that LWMA's should be replicable on multiple timeframes with the right scaling I just can't get the channels to even nearly agree. ie. price that is over extended in terms of ATR on H1 is barely past the first band on H4. Is it even possible?

Any help much appreciated.

nzd/chf and nzd/cad then i am going to bed. Took the break of the TL and 60 MA. Brought my TP to break even and see how many pips I get when I wake up. Long day tomorrow. I wish I had the time to trade FT. 6 weeks of school left. :)

From my early observations is that is the SINERGY of the three what it counts at this point in time of market indecision. Also, what I can see is that RIGHT NOW this is confirmed by the Dummy Lights and the Monthly chart that Zentauro pointed.

A good example of what I'm talking is what it's about to happen with the GBP/CHF in the next few hours. Right now the three lines are lining up in the bottom along with the Green dummy. And as Bob says, RED will go first, Yellow second or simultaneously and third will be STO7.... so if at this point in time you set a pending buy, it will be a little early.

Hope this helps and of course Bob's confirmation.

If I may offer so info.. based on my experience with CSS, when I see two currencies moving in the same direction, like GBP and CHF are doing now, this requires a bit different thinking on the potential move. Looking at 10.7, both Daily and Weekly are 0.00, thus the CSS is confirming a potential for a drop on GBPCHF.. my reasoning? GBP about to cross +0.20 first.. and is rising against CHF which is also rising but at a slower rate than GBP (at least what I can see). Only need to wait for STO7 to reset for entry.
Gracias Pipstubborn, and thanks for the insight Bill.
I'm just a little bit confused with the interpretation of CSS, if GBP is getting stronger at a higher rate than CHF my original way of thinking would be to try and buy GBPCHF, given that GBP would be the lead currency as it strengthens. I would have to deepen into what you're stating as a way of looking at two currencys that are traveling together in one direction on CSS.

Thanks Tomasso, I'll dive into it. Trying to get a hold of this.
Thanks for your enormous contribution to this system as well. :good:

ATR settings used on Periods H4, H1...

PeriodsATR 500
MA_Periods 60 (Corrected)
MA Type 3
Mult_Factor1 1.61852
Mult_Factor2 3.26704
Mult_Factor3 4.85556

For Daily MA_Periods: I change the MA_Periods to 15. Can also use 13 (Fib sequence #)

For Daily PeriodsATR: I change the Lookback period 89. Reason for 89. There are 4 seasons, with the first season beginning at the Harvest moon equinox. This gives a value of 365/4 = 91.25. The closest number of Fib sequence is 89, harmonic number. The variation between 91.25 and 89 is minimal and would account for partial trading day trading on Sunday.

I´m also finding very useful ATRchannels (60), levels 2 and 3 mostly. Interesting use of CSS 4H by boltrader to catch the reversion to the mean moves.

Last month (Boldtrader, Allorente, etc) and novelties form 10.7 & 10.9 have brought so many great insights that I´m still trying to assimilate. I love clean charts, so I should select thoses indis that I feel give me something unavoidable. Not easy.

At this moment:

CSS info page. Best indicator ever.

ATRchannels - Bob settings, using 60LWMA. ATR period moved to 240 just to keep something of EDSEL spirit. 240 is not taken as a directional average, but as a range average. I´ll give a try to Boltrader settings right now. 15 MA in 4H and fibs for multipliers look great.

240LWMA reminder. I don´t need to see 240 plotted in the chart but I need to know the level were 240 is in the present moment. I removed dummie lights. At this time I don´t need it anymore. Very easy to know at first sight what the colors are just looking at the little 240 reminder and the ATR(60) channels central line.

Demark trendlines. I had already used them in the past to confirm old RSI2 crosses. A great way to trade triangles & wedges breakouts.

FastTMAline Daily and Weekly plotted in 4H. Amazing stuff. I don´t trust too much the 4H TMA (I prefer the non repainting ATR channel) but Daily and Weekly give a so clear sense of the market structure. Thanks, Al. These two came to stay.

Slipshod´s S/R indi, just for 'proven' SR, muting all the others.

Too much things for a clean chart but I´m trying to arrange it in a clean way.

Hi Guys did my first c/trend trade today on Audcad. What is attractive about this trade is that the aussie is turning down on the 4hr css with cad turning up. Cons are that I am going into no mans land below 60 Ma. The pro is that all l/term t/frames are in o/bought territory with the 10.9 weekly stochs still pointing towards the d/side and we have gone below the weekly pivot. Also the tdml lines ahave been broken which I am finding more and more useful. Anyway 27 pips now. I could be horribly wrong but lets see.

Regards Leon

This cross of the weekly pivot was nice. Confirmed by a broken trendline.

10.7 gives more importance to the open line than to the pivots (in fact, it´s all about open lines), but let´s don´t forget that many pivots use open lines in its calculations, averaging high, low and the open, although I´m not sure about this old 10.4 weekly pivots. Maybe they use the close instead of the open.

(BTW, Tomasso. It would be possible a mod of the Stoch using the weekly pivot instead of the weekly open line to produce the signal? Price above weekly pivot = signal up, price below weekly pivot = signal down.)
