Many have come up with the idea of sending buy/sell stop grids on either side of the market. The problem has always been when to close the successful trades. Unless you were trading with a bucket shop, when the market would have moved sideways for years and swap costs would eventually have blown the account.

You sort-of provided part of the missing part of the jigsaw by suggesting HGI as the trade trigger. Now we have a proven trading method that makes a shed-load of pips when the market instantly moves in our favour.

A member here asked me to code a trading method that involves semafor. This suggested to me the method we now have for closing the profitable side of the hedge in anticipation that the losing side will retrace until we can close at an overall profit.

And then the replacing of grids etc. I have already coded the latest idea I had, and will release it in time for market open on Monday.

Think about this folks. The stuff I have added comes from me being allowed the time to do so, and to think about the developments in the first place. CE paid me to code the initial EA. You guys keep me going with your coding commissions and gifts so I have time to work on all this stuff. I do not have to spend 9 hours a day digging up roads for a living.

You folks keep on paying me one way or another and I keep on having the time to develop the code.

That was not a plea; just making the point.

Here is a screen shot of last 7 days of test with the freezing issues which gave me some DD that I just had to close manually. I think it could have easily made another $200 but I'm not complaining!

Started with 3k with 0.03 lots ( this is conservative for me) on three pairs. Lil' beast manage to squeeze out $536.71 profit in 7 days.

I have added the losing part of the hedge stop order replacement thingy. I have added the facility for the various replacement thingies to be a choice controlled by the user.

  • SendGrid: set to 'true' to send a grid.
  • PendingOrderType: buy or sell stop or limit orders.
  • GridStartPrice: leave this at 0 to start the grid at Bid +- DistanceBetweenTrades. Fill this input with your grid starting price if you want to be more specific.
