Today, GM panel is shown normally and working Good.

Hello Rene,

I have a question about the system:

I have the following demo running

MADDY direction, as per the following setfile (Wavegarrick's), + the dancers and the master. Supposedly witH MAX difference between trades = 12 (I'm testing this on purpose).
Maddy v 1.7 Dashboard second 8 15 - 5 %2C 15 %26 30 mins.set
1P GridMaster(Master)-26P-Unb-6-24-220MADDY.set
1P GridMaster (Dancer).set
It opened a NZDUSD sell, and then a second entry, then price keep going up and it STOPPED opening new trades in the grid. I assume it is because the conditions in MADDY are NOT reflecting a NZDUSD sell anymore?

please confirm if I understand correctly the EA.

Also, a question: Do I need to delete the Global Variables Manually every now and then? or how does the EA handle that?

Now I'm running some test.
- Direction Bias = Trade both direction (No Maddy)
  • No1: Max diffrence in Buy and Sell = 3
    No2: Max diffrence in Buy and Sell = 10
    No3: Max diffrence in Buy and Sell = -1 (disable)
- Trading Pairs
AJ/AU/UJ/GU/GJ/EJ/EG/EU

other setting is OOTB.

I will report test result.

So far it seems No2 is best, No1 is worst.

Yes, that is correct. According to your picture of MADDY, NZD is still weak, but USD has stopped being strong. Earlier on, NZD was weak and USD was strong, so the direction bias for NZDUSD was set to 'DOWN'. This was/is no longer the case and the GridDancer stops entering SELL trades for this pair.

The Global Variables are to preserve state. This is important if the GridDancer or GridMaster is restarted or reinitialized, as it will enable the EA to continue from where it left of.

If you want to start from scratch, with a new anchor position, grid size and grid level, you will have to:

1. Unload the EAs
2. Delete the Global Variables
3. Reload the EAs

I have a question regarding max difference between buy and sell, I set this value to 2, but it seems not working as EA opens bunch of trades in one direction. Could you please look at it? Thank you.

From your image, I can't really see how many BUYs and SELLs you have for AUDUSD. If you have only 2 BUYs, you should not have more than 4 SELLs (if MaxLongShortDifference = 2). I see 5 SELLs, and 2 BUYs, but may be some of the BUY lines are obscured by the SELLs as they are at the same grid level.

Can you load the attached indicator so that I can see what you've got open?

Hello Rene,

I'm still testing 4 instances of GridDancer/GridMaster. All of them with MADDY guiding enabled, with Garrick's setfile.

However, as I'm seeing very few trades per day, I wanted to increase trading volume, and for this purpose, I've done some modifications to the setfile and came up with the following:
Maddy v 1.7 Dashboard 8 15 - 5-15-30 mins rev.set
However, I haven't noticed much increase in the trading volume. Given that the direction confirmation is supposed to keep the EA out of deep trouble, I don't mind it getting a little "into action" but I can't seem to achieve so.

I have read the MADDY thread + the instructions on this thread but still haven't been able to fully understand how the GridDancers interact with MADDY for getting the direction. If I select 5 timeframes, do all 5 need to be lined up in the same direction for the indi to declare it a "strong=buy" currency?

If you could elaborate a little but in the logic behind the interactions of MADDY and the GridDancers I'm sure some other people here might benefit from this as well for testing purposes.
