I might have been a little generous on that. While it does seem to work really well, it gives up a bit too easily. E.g. my M1 charts loaded over 7000 candles -- but, whoopee, that's about 1 week. If I manually hit HOME on the M1 chart I can get it to load more.

It looked at the code and it seems like it's hitting HOME plenty, but I don't understand some of the exit conditions. I don't know how to make it more persistent so it really does load all that's available. For now I'm just running it several times. Even the first run seems to give enough history to work fine for EA testing, good TMA/CSS history, etc.

Maybe one of the experts with Windoze API experience will take a look at it and make it a bit smarter...
Yes, I gave it a run and noticed it threw in the hat a little too easily.

Still, it does an easier job than the full manual process, which takes hours if we want to trade all the charts available.

Over to the API guys, who have to battle both Empty4 and CriapWindowsxxxxx. How much pain can a single programmer endure?

Try the following guys.

The EA will do just one timeframe at a time, but for all the symbols in your Market Watch.

Plus it does get ALL history!

EDIT: Steve or other like minded coders might be able to extract the heart of this EA to use elsewhere ;)
