Official SHF broker
I have decided to make more of a fuss about Global Prime for the benefit of all who can trade through them but have not yet elected to do so. GP is SHF's 'Official broker'. Not just the 'Official' broker (cos we all know what a multitude of crimes this can cover) but my broker.

These are the ones I know about. Contact me if yours should be in this exclusive group and I have missed it out. It will never be a large section.

Before you use them there are a few points you MUST understand, grasp and learn to live by:
1) There is an unbreakable, unshakable and unavoidable rule of retail forex trading and it is this: if it can happen and it is bad for you, then it will happen, and probably sooner rather than later.
2) You will have losing days.
3) You will have losing weeks.
4) You will have losing months.
5) The only thing that matters is that the equity curve rises over a longer period of time than most of you possess the ability to concentrate for.
6) You need balls of steel to trade Forex. 2), 3) and 4) will sort you out rapidly if you are a wimp.
7) Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. You will be desperate to succeed and fear will cloud your judgement. Guess how I know? Guess why I am so relaxed about trading these days. Only a cretin trades with the pension pot or remortgages the house in order to do so.

For the noobs:

Watch out for NFP on Friday as this can be a big news release. Typically the markets go to sleep during the hours leading up to the release, then can explode afterwards. This is dangerous if you are playing the noob game of over trading.

Start looking for opportunities to close your positions in the build up to Christmas. Many experienced and successful traders want to be 'flat' by the end of the second week of December, at the latest. They will resume trading in the new year.

Here is a tip for those of you confident enough to load source code into the editor to make tiny changes, and are running multiple instances of an EA. Making a change to an extern variable such as TakeProfitPips and recompiling does not change the value that the EA's are working with.

Variables hidden from the user are changed across all running instances of an EA, so: remove the 'extern' from the code; make the change to the input; compile; replace 'extern'; compile. Ta Daaa. All instances of the EA have the input updated.

For the noobs:

Start looking for opportunities to close your positions in the build up to Christmas. Many experienced and successful traders want to be 'flat' by the end of the second week of December, at the latest. They will resume trading in the new year.

It looks as though DFC have worked through the inevitable early website glitches and are running smoothly. They offer a monthly subscription of $150 ($700 for a year) for the Basic and $500 ($3000 for a year) for the advanced. These would not be sustainable for a whole year but do give us the opportunity to try the service for a month for not a lot of money.

Before you use them there are a few points you MUST understand, grasp and learn to live by:
1) There is an unbreakable, unshakable and unavoidable rule of retail forex trading and it is this: if it can happen and it is bad for you, then it will happen, and probably sooner rather than later.
2) You will have losing days.
3) You will have losing weeks.
4) You will have losing months.
5) The only thing that matters is that the equity curve rises over a longer period of time than most of you possess the ability to concentrate for.
6) You need balls of steel to trade Forex. 2), 3) and 4) will sort you out rapidly if you are a wimp.
7) Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. You will be desperate to succeed and fear will cloud your judgement. Guess how I know? Guess why I am so relaxed about trading these days. Only a cretin trades with the pension pot or remortgages the house in order to do so.

I have been watching the DFC webinars. There are 44 at the time of writing; I have watched 17 of them so far, starting furthest back in time. It looks as though these webinars are shown live on Saturday and Sunday each week, the uploaded to the site for newcomers. Something like that.

I have learned more about market movement this weekend than from elsewhere in the whole of the previous decade. Obvious stuff when I saw it, but it takes people with far, far more brains than I have to work it out themselves.

I recognise everything I view in the videos from having read it in CJ's thread – I have made desultory attempts to come to grips with it over the years, and failed every time. Everything can be gleaned from CJ's thread, if you have the persistence to read the (at the time of writing) 19,934 posts spread over 1554 pages and the brains to piece it all together.

Frankly, you are better of stumping up the $700 and saving yourself a lot of time. “Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose” is one of my oft-repeated mantras. Never borrow to fund a trading account. DFC a is different matter. If you cannot immediately afford the subscription to DFC Basic and can borrow the money, then do so.

I have only scratched the surface of what is available at DFC. Go to https://dailyforexcircle.com/membership ... ip-levels/ to see what else is on offer (ignore the monthly columns as the monthly sub is no longer available).

We can all look at the charts and see how the market moves in waves. DFC teaches us to make sense of them and see how they combine to form market cycles, how to enter trades
using this info and how to exit. I will never look at a chart the same way again. I quote this from the end of post 1 in CJ's thread: once you "see", you cannot "un-see" Absolutely totally dead right. You will have loaded your last Moving Average.

I am plugging this again because it is fantastic. Please read my 100% endorsement in post 2. I never imagined I would be endorsing a commercial enterprise with such enthusiasm here at SHF.

I have watched all the DFC webinars.

I have learned more about market movement this last week than from elsewhere in the whole of the previous decade. Obvious stuff when I saw it, but it takes people with far, far more brains than I have to work it out themselves.

I recognise everything I view in the videos from having read it in CJ's thread – I have made desultory attempts to come to grips with it over the years, and failed every time. Everything can be gleaned from CJ's thread, if you have the persistence to read the (at the time of writing) 15,575 posts spread over 1558 pages and the brains to piece it all together.

Frankly, you are better of stumping up the $700 and saving yourself a lot of time. “Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose” is one of my oft-repeated mantras. Never borrow to fund a trading account. DFC a is different matter. If you cannot immediately afford the subscription to DFC Basic and can borrow the money, then do so.

I have still only scratched the surface of what is available at DFC. Go to https://dailyforexcircle.com/membership ... ip-levels/ to see what else is on offer (ignore the monthly columns as the monthly sub is no longer available).

We can all look at the charts and see how the market moves in waves. DFC teaches us to make sense of them and see how they combine to form market cycles, how to enter trades
using this info and how to exit. I will never look at a chart the same way again. I quote this from the end of post 1 in CJ's thread: once you "see", you cannot "un-see" Absolutely totally dead right. You will have loaded your last Moving Average.

I even know why all of my EA's have ultimately failed. I have coded hundreds of them, so that is a real bastard in a way. Looking on the bright side though, the next generation will be killers.

Official SHF broker
No point in learning to trade like a master trader if your broker is bollocks, so I have decided to make more of a fuss about Global Prime for the benefit of all who can trade through them but have not yet elected to do so. These are the ones I know about. Contact me if yours should be in this exclusive group and I have missed it out. It will never be a large section.

Before you use them there are a few points you MUST understand, grasp and learn to live by:
1) There is an unbreakable, unshakable and unavoidable rule of retail forex trading and it is this: if it can happen and it is bad for you, then it will happen, and probably sooner rather than later.
2) You will have losing days.
3) You will have losing weeks.
4) You will have losing months.
5) The only thing that matters is that the equity curve rises over a longer period of time than most of you possess the ability to concentrate for.
6) You need balls of steel to trade Forex. 2), 3) and 4) will sort you out rapidly if you are a wimp.
7) Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. You will be desperate to succeed and fear will cloud your judgement. Guess how I know? Guess why I am so relaxed about trading these days. Only a cretin trades with the pension pot or remortgages the house in order to do so.
