I have read it. I'm using this alongside 10.7 actually for H4 and daily. But Michaelz previous post using CCFp has piqued my interest for short-term trading, especially scalping. Would it better if I had PM him directly? I'm sorry if finding a way to filter out the MA240 signals was against the rules. |

I jumped the gun on my admonition. Apologies. Back to my corner. |

CCFp (Complex_Common_Frames percent) and CC (Complex_Common) are described in the articles. CCFp is trend following (smoother = more lagging). They work on all timeframes (from the indicator's point of view timeframe is not important), extracting informations from many currency pairs. In the ZIP file I also included some other useful indicators: - MTF stochastic and ASCTrend from a good manual strategy - Genesis Matrix System, - stochastic divergence - replaces normal stochastic, but shows arrows when a divergence occurs, - two automatic pivots indicators (make sure You have AutoGMTOffset set to true. But it usually does not work on weekends), - II SupDem displaying supply and demand zones (more or less accurate of course). In the template You have two CC indis with different settings, and CCFp. Generally you could say for example: BOB's arrow UP and two indis (CC and/or CCFp) GREEN => BUY. But of course You should also consider general trend, pivots, supply/demand, MTF and "normal" stochastic (see Genesis system). |

No worries. But I was very confused and thought I did something wrong I actually slowly figured it out. But couldn't find anything on ASCT, to which you pointed the Genesis Matrix system. It looks very interesting indeed and I shall give it a try on the H1 TF, with SL above or below Bob's 60MA arrows. If you don't mind me asking, I'm assuming you've had some great success but on what TF? In addition, I am still perplexed on one thing. For example, let's say we're looking at the EURJPY pair with your template. The first CCFP and CC shows EUR as Green line and JPY as Red line. However, the last CC window shows the opposite: EUR as Red line and JPY as Green line. So when there is a buy/uptrend, the last CC window showsthe EUR Red line as going down and JPY Green line as going up, which doesn't make sense. I hope you cahn clarify on this. Thank you. |

Below another screenshot (for EURJPY). CC & CCFp: thin (dark) green line = first currency (EUR in this case). Thin red line = second currency (JPY here). Thick colored line = overall trend: lime (light green) - UP, magenta - DOWN, white - flat (I know there is a small bug with coloring function - SplitTotalColors - sometimes a gap occurs in the history, but I cannot track this bug). ASC trend is used in the bottom white-red indicator showing trends in three different timeframes. |

Hi Bob, you have created something special with this indi and it does need to be protected so it can be developed. I completely agree. It's been a long haul since the early days, I watched you get closer and closer to the grail and new some day... You're one of these people that can solve any problem. I've tested the indi with Steve's EA which is excellent on the 15 mins,30 mins , D1 and H4. I've found it best on the 1H. when it goes into a trend I change the tp to adr, works a treat : ) Good luck with the pandas and the trip up north. all the best from down under Rgds Rob |

HI all Well done Bob and thanks for your postings and hard work on the many pages i have read, real wisdom! I am pretty new to forex but have traded ES/commodities in the past using Whyckoff type trading style (no indicators, no demand bars, volume mainly). I still like this style of trading and am not bad at it, but got reading this site and really like the level of debate and collabarative approach. I really like this indicator in testing so far, but i may not persist with it because I don't understand the logic behind it, and in order to be fully functioning trader, i must trade a system i fully understand back to front, and have some control over. I read Bob said he might reveal the logic/code behind it, maybe we could help improve it collectivly. Anyway just a thought. I know the 10.7 system has great reviews, so i will have a look at it. I must say that, of the countless trading books I have read and better than any indicator including the( 240MA above sell bellow) the best bit of advice i have followed is, Bob's advice on 1) lot sizeing 2) Approach to (not) using stop losses 3) sticking to 4 hr and above time frames. I can't tell you how much my mind has opened regarding these three things. It has had a DRAMATIC effect on my profitability and outlook regarding trading in general. I'm starting to think that systems/indicators although really important, are secondary to the 3 things mentioned. |

Nidolap, you continued last week with your great results? I'm checking the H1 trading too and -because Bob's philosophy of trading is another one- question to you: Did you include a time stop with your H1 trading? Sometimes you get trades around London open going sideways without contrary signals, and you have to decide, what to to, possibly cover before NY open. Cheers josch |

It is based on the 240 MA which is explained in the 10.4 manual. Then this indi tries to show the best entrances based on that basic philosophy. Buy above and sell below the 240 line. For those that also counter trade the trend or for range trading CT arrows also appear. It is not much more than that. It just tries to show you good spots to enter. |
