Just so you know, no it cannot. EA's can only work with stuff an indi presents. If the indi doesn't present the info, the ea cannot work with it. If the indi presents false information, the ea is stuffed. Actually, it isn't quite that simple but I do not understand indi code. Indicators are coded by weird people who speak in tongues that the rest of us cannot even begin to comprehend.

So, whilst what you suggest might be possible, I cannot do it.

Hi Guys,

results for the week on H4 ootb, over 1500 pips by opening of London Thursday, :clap: overnight sunk back to minus figures. I've notice that after the first hour of London on a Thursday its a good time to close everything off. Could be a coincidence but perhaps not. However I'm a believer that once a trade goes into profit I should always come away with something so I'll do some adjustments.

Well, you kinda-sorta can (I think) ;)

You query the indicator using shift(0), get a signal, and you're in... 3 bars later, you query the indicator using shift(3), and if the signal is still there, sweet, but if it's not, then, eerrr, aaahhh, um...

So, can we? Yes ;)

Is it worth the effort? Eerrr, aaahhh, um... ;)

it's an interesting indi & ea
I've been playing with the multiple timeframe concept for a while now, and built http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3685 (a combination of Steve's Once A Day, Once A Week, and Once A Month EA's).

The performance (or, rather, lack thereof), is more a reflection of how badly I butchered Steve's code, and not a reflection on the concept itself.

Time for me to re-learn how to code ;)

Hi Steve,

I understand that with opposite wavy line, the Range and RAD open trades will be closed. Also if there is a valid opposite wavy line, a Range trade would not be opened.

In the attached chart, a Range sell trade was opened with an opposite wavy line. I guess it could be that at the time the Range trade was opened, the wavy line was no longer valid.

Just like to confirm with you my understanding of the logic is correct.

I think the wavy lines killed that trade (if you have that option enabled)

I have been using HGB version 1f on OOTB H4 on 28 pairs during this week. After watching 1000 of green pips in demo yesterday just out of curiosity i went live at London open. Not to mention it was terrible day :lol: i watched few 100 green pips then gave back those pips to markets and saw some DD as well. Anyways i have two little observations. Most of my range trdes with 20 pips hit SL and many trades closed within seconds. I am back to demo now :lol: Steve please keep up the good work. Thanks

It would be better if the trade will not be opened because of the opposite wavy line to save commission and spread.
