EURUSD H1. Entered on HGI trend arrow, alert from HGI Matrix. Used the Sixths distance between lines as the Empty4 trailing stop. |

For the people who use Push notifications, attached is the level 3 Semafor from page 1 with push notifications enabled. The indi code in 3LevelSemaforPush2 has been updated to not alert on terminal start and on TF switching, next to push the other options where added, Pivotter |

USDCHF M30 Short. Counter trend to H4. Hope this thread doesn't mind a harmonic pattern along with Sixths being used for this trade. Blue wavy short was the trigger. Used HGIMatrix to find the trigger signal. |

Nice! I would like to use the 3 level semafore in a dashboard. Do anyone know of a 3 level source without having to use a normal indicator on one chart? I need to be able to send in the symbol, tf, shift and get a response if it is a level 3 there. If there is none then I may write it myself someday but just in case... BR Mathias |

Thank you all for the contributions. I have read them with interest and have identified the attached trade GBPJPY 4H..does it seem reasonable to others? I have only recently discovered & binged on these forums, and this use of the sixths feels a little counter intuitive by not trading with the direction of the 240MA on 4H longer term trend as so emphasised by Bob at the start of the HGI user guide. What are peoples thoughts on this...do you reconcile it with yourself by judging you are catching a reversal / retrace? Also, if anyone has thoughts on how necessary the 8ma is in their system I would be interested to hear. Do you require its confirmation 100% of the time? I'll keep an eye on outcomes but I've seen good opportunities where the 8 hasn;t crossed into the zone. Perhaps the thinking behind it is that helps confirm the price has penetrated deeply into the sixth end zone or at least has had time to consolidate there before breaking back..and that this is in some way better to trade than a spike into that zone..I don;t know. Thanks, Ben Please excuse me if I deserve a flaming for this, trying to balance a need for a deep understanding of things vs Steve's good advice of staying a lurker till a useful contribution can be made |

This method trades on the basis that prices meander about a certain level and as they move further away from the central zone they get exhausted and retrace. The corrections are never perfect and they overshoot in both directions. The idea is to catch the big moves as they correct themselves and wend their way back and forth. There is no magic MA Thoughtful (rather than lazy) questions always welcome. Charles |

Hi again Riskless, just another quickie thought, sorry its a bit newbie: my Sixths grid looks much smaller today (see attached compared to my attached 2 days ago) Applying every spare neuron possible I'm thinking that the 'bar count' variable in the indicator (I set to 288) now no longer encompasses the huge fall around the 24/06/16 (288x4hrs = 48trading days = 9.6weeks) and so the sixths have re-set itself with the more current data and a lower high in that data. Is this a fair assessment?....and if so how does anyone have any thoughts on dealing with a sixths grid that shifts so dramatically..I guess one idea would be for me to manually increase the bar count to keep the old grid in place for the purposes of setting targets. Regards p.s. the GBPJPY trade took off nicely...shame I bottled it just before the fireworks! Hopefully observing this system will give me confidence to set wider stops in future. |
