Hi Ianp,

Scary but yet awesome equity growth! 10 out of 10 for perseverance :good:

You have 3 choices with the drawdown:
-Close all and you still look good :smile:
-Activate offsetting and allow complex single sided offsetting to trim the edges. One of the best recovery tools in our arsenal but so often overlooked.
-Or Wait it out. That will give you 20 out of 10 for perseverance ;)

I will wait this one out until DD meets equity of account blows up....

With the " allow complex single sided offset" what would you advise the number of trades to trigger offsetting ? the default is set to 4 .

I will start a new demo with offsetting and see how that goes.

Hi Ian,

It is very difficult to say what settings you should use for offsetting...I did try and get my head around this, the past weekend. If I look at your setting that you posted earlier pg 12 of this thread your settings which match more or less with my settings. My conclusion is that trades will be concluded with a stop if conditions are changed with the superslope change and you should not have a extraneous drawdown carried forward. I dont know, maybe you can expand on this. Perhaps settings that are different to this?

Nevertheless, if you are using the default setting of 4 it should work well.

... Profit back up to + 7.9% so I closed all on EURJPY just now since I only kept it going to see how the setup would cope with Election on Friday.

So with no open trades this now unrestricts the setup to look for a new opportunity. I wonder what pair it will choose next.... ?

Too funny! The next setup available was.... EURJPY!

So back in for another run this week. which still makes sense looking at the chart and the new open price is about 40 pips higher than where I closed all last night so that's all good.

Week #3 of my test using TJF's settings on 1 Hour Charts on 16 pairs, but using No Grid. The GridLess Wonder survived a full 200 pip loss by GBPJPY, and still came out in the black. I now have above a breakeven on partial Week #1, a 459 pip win on Week #2, and a 221 Pip win in Week #3.

Can it keep it up through the rest of the month? Just 10 trades again this week on seven pairs, which is very much to my liking.

So I'm up 680 pips for the month. Can I hang on to them? Time will tell.

btw, I am closing all open trades on Friday 1 hour after London closing.
