Similar to may others, i should spend some minutes to write and say thank you to all the great people here who have developed and shared their experience in developing the HGI long with all the related additions which complete each other (HGI , matrix , hurst,...etc)

thank you all for your for your great work!

i have been trading for 6 years now but never came a cross such a system! i am still learning and practicing, and hope to be able to be as successful as you guys are. wish you all the best and again, thank you

I'm new here and this may be my first post, so hello to all and thanks in advance for the wealth of sharing that goes on here.

I'm also new to Empty4 (been trading on a proprietary platform)... is there an instruction document on how to load the HGI indicators and scripts to Empty4?

Hi,
I am member of this forum from almost an year but never have participated in discussion- there is so much useful info here and so many places and aspects to learn trading philosophies in this forum that I have been reading and reading ever since I found it. I see that the discussion if this indicator repaints or recalculates will never end, I just wanted to give some advice to the people that want to see how it behaves real time and not the best options it gives when it is loaded on fresh chart. From build 778 Empty4 4 platform has the ability to test not only ea, but also indicators so if anyone wants to have the taste of reality he/she can launch a test and see at real time how it behaves. And for me the conclusion is that as in life not everything is wine and roses but to put the humor aside you can find many tradable scenarios and even can test some filters to filter out the good entries. Let us be thankful to Bob for giving this great indicator and expecting nothing in return- at least we can try to think of applications and filters for this beast instead of shouting "It repaints". Just put it to strategy tester and see how it works and then think how you can improve your trading style in order to take advantage of this indicator. Again thanks to the people that have coded and put this indi to life and hope my post has been useful for someone :-)

Thank you for your wisdom. The indi is very dynamic. It gives overall trend direction with the wavy lines as turn around areas. Since these are given at candle close it works quite well for those that like candle closes. It is based on the overall increasing/decreasing strength of a move. The arrows are real time and may or may not be right on the money every time. I have used those arrow directions on a separate indi for years and years and can assure you they work far more times than the dont. It goes back to my 4.0 and 5.0 CT systems at FF. I know this from years of personal experience using that one particular indi. So every once in a while I will try to remind everyone where these came from and that they have seen years and years of use before they were all combined into one by Elixe.
