I have a lot of reading to do here to catch up with your ideas in this 10.7. I am very interested and looking forward to testing them out. I suspect it is just what I have been looking for and as usual you are making things simple for the rest of us.

These are both really helpful examples of combining 10.7 with ATR channels for mean reversion. Could you share your ATR settings for the indi for use on the M30 and H1 timeframes? I have Bob's settings to follow the 60LWMA on H4 but despite the fact that LWMA's should be replicable on multiple timeframes with the right scaling I just can't get the channels to even nearly agree. ie. price that is over extended in terms of ATR on H1 is barely past the first band on H4. Is it even possible?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your settings for these - interesting that you use 89 on the daily to match the cycles. I spent a lot of time looking into Steve Copan's work on market cycles but never really got it to work for me - more patience required I think!

What might be of interest is that I've managed to get my H4 and H1 ATR lines to agree. Obviously the Period for the MA on the H1 increases to 240 so that it draws the center line in the same place on both charts. For some reason, (mathmaticians over to you) the multiplier factors only need to be doubled. So if you use the following setting on two instances of the indi, you get the same lines, in the same place relative to price on both the H1 and H4 charts. Not for everyone but just thought I'd share.

FOR H4:

PeriodsATR 500
MA_Periods 60
MA Type 3
Mult_Factor1 1.61852
Mult_Factor2 3.26704
Mult_Factor3 4.85556

and FOR H1:

PeriodsATR 2000 (same absolute timeframe as H4 - but make sure you've got the history loaded)

Great Info. Thank you. I don't use H1 too often, so I just keep the main settings... but this works also.. I have gotten so used to seeing H4+ values, that I just mark my charts with the MST levels automatically and trade to those levels based on HTF ATR levels. But nice to see the conversions. Great job..

Yes, I am a big cycles fan.. with emphasis on Pythagorean Theorems, GANN Cycles (original works), Murrey Math, and others.. My favorite books: "God Created The Integers" - Hawkin; Then, "Analysis of Time Series Structure - SSA and Related Techniques" by Nina Golyandina, et. al.. I use this in some of my Indi's for R language forecasting indi's. This book is about Statistics and Applied Probability 90.

Then, Isaac Newton's "The Principia -Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy". From this book, with Applied Statistics came the OBI_WAAN indicator. Next... "Pattern, Price and Time" Using Gann Theory in Trading Systems, by James Hyerczyk and "All About Technical Analysis" by Constance Brown.. Constance is big on the use of Fib Structure and Analysis. You will learn a lot on this read. And I have many others.. including Murrey Math time series analysis, GANN Cycles and Trading Commodities - WD Gann's original works.

These above are some of my favs along with my own works.. have many more.. but these in my opinion make for the most boring but most learned info you can get on trading overall. There are many others, great books, techniques, etc.. but for me, these are my best.. I like to read.. and write.. and trade.. The greatest read of all ? This great forum.

Hi guys, an overwhelming amount of useful info is being poured in here, and I'm struggling to absorb it all while I can take the next step towards my learning process.
To try and use what 10.7 presents me I've kept my old 10.6 charts and added this fabulous indi. Now I've seen there are times when I get a signal on H1 and then I go and watch other timframes, H4 for instance, and I see that while H1 is giving me a clear bull, on the H4 Sto7 is crossing 70 downwards, this doesn't mean I'm getting contradictory signals, as D1.2 and W1.2 are on top on both TF, but I'm using this observations to get a feel of the market cycles and how it would affect my trading across different TF.

Here is an example of that on AUDUSD.

Lance - the daily won't be crossing over any time soon. The daily open was around 101.95 - 45 pips away before price crosses it and the daily crosses over.
