Hi Evaluator James66, Eval, i cant thank you enough for refreshing us with your detailed explanation, pictures and all, of your symphonie system. you will see Steve has acted on it, and we're starting the week shortly with one step closer. thank you again. James, i was on the FF symphonie thread round about the time TMA came about. i followed Alorente's trading for one of the holidays in the states, where he stopped trading with 180 pips up. sorry i cant recall the exact page , but i think it was in the 500 odd. He explaines how he traded for the day, live as all was happening, and it was very interesting. but, at the end of some of his trades, he would mention something like this ' Alorente Member Member Since Aug 2011 2,673 Posts Quote: Originally Posted by realjumper That is very impressive. EUR/USD USD/JPY This just shows you that he has his own 'style' or 'experience' that he adds when he trades. He did the same in the Symphonie thread and i realised that he does have a winning way, but it is his way of trading, thats what we're all trying to find here. He found his way, but is is'nt symphonie, and he does use EA's along the way. I also followed how he set up those EA's, the 5M and the 15M, and wehen he had them re-written and decided he would use the 15M there-after. this is before TMa was started, it's all on FF. I personally, might prefer to mix Symphonie with something else, and that would be breaking away from Eval's genuine symphonie, so i cant call it' symphonie' then. Here, we are trying to stick to Evals method, and nothing else. Exactly as he posted right from the beginning with strict rules to follow. Im sure you have read this thread as it is not so long, and i also questioned if we were straying away from Eval's method. You can see he takes the time to guide us here also, but we wont try to change his method, the test are showing us the direction and Eval will throw his input if he feels it's not right. Eval has NOT endorsed this as symphonie, but we hope to get as close as posiible to this. thats the goal, until then, we'll keep testing different settings and it would be great to have your results too. i Have not tried Alorente's sytem, i prefer a more structured approach like symphonie. TMA needs more experience like i quoted earlier. symphonie can be used by a beginner, just stick to the rules. LhDt, who also gave the symphonie thread his signaller had this to say to me when i mentioned alorente in another thread, Let's stick the rules ! For your info, the Alorente method is more gambling than trading ! Cheers, LhDT LhDt is well versed in the threads and understands trading better than i do. hope this helps and i dint go on too much, regards cuzgeorge |

Just starting up the demos in anticipation of Cowboy IBFX getting out of bed, and spotted a daft bloop immediately. Fix in post 1. |

Khalaad, Care to explain further your post??? Are you calling me and the Symphone thread a lie?? I suggest you look at all the other people who are posting success following the Symphonie System. There are many...not a select few! Also, if you do not believe the numbers in Post#1 and the posts of others; then why do you not try it yourself???? Use a demo account and you risk nothing but alittle time and much to gain if you are successful using Symphonie. (you will need about 6 weeks of STRICT trading time by Symphonie rules) There is no super secret magic pill or postion....Symphonie is a process that helps others learn to be patience, use discipline, and obtain pattern recognition in trend. This plus a strong money management system to keep your risk low and profit potential high does one thing.....it instills trade consistancy in ones trading habits. That is what makes Symphonie a very POWERFUL way to trade forex. You are corerct....I do post that Symphonie can produce positive pip results...why??? Because IT DOES WORK!!! But since you are to many blinded by some bias...maybe you need to search for another system that you feel more comfortable. Evaluator. |

Slowkey, i have started to make use of FXbook and hope all will be able to see results without those silly pics i've been trying to get my results through to you all. I'm not done yet, so please be patient until all are up and running in the course of the week. No problem George, I enjoy your comments and enthusiasm. I am retired and a most patient guy. I find the development of these bots a blast. The beast proved to me that we could make these bots works for us with a lot intervention and understanding. I have been building computers since the 1980's and anytime I can get them to make a little money for me it is a blast. When I am not doing this I am a semi-professional horse player. I have an extensive data base system I use for that. But just like trading I did not become a successful horse player over night. It took time to do that and a lot of mistakes. There are a lot of similarities. I am a cancer survivor and just like a little kid. I do not want to go to bed at night. Life is beautiful. Every day is a gift. |

Hi Steve, , the four bars are why i'm going to run this on low TF, please don't take me wrong, we're just testing here. I'll be running larger TF's once i get the hang of fractals and that ZIGZAG thingy, hehe. ciao bello, george |

Khalaad, I am not taking your post out of context nor putting words in your mouth as you accuse. I am answering your post with a question. I am asking you to explain further your post because your ''not good enough Forum behaivour'' makes it appear you are saying that I am not truthful in my method. You also say I ''drone on and on about the Midas-like money-making ability''. I have actually done just the opposite because I have said constantly that Symphonie WILL make bad trades as well as good one. I have said that Symphonie is NOT a get rich quick system and requires work for the trader. I have also said that Symphonie over time will be more winning trades than bad ones and that Symphonie teaches traders consistancy and proper structure in money management that makes one profitable and a better trader. So, I disagree with the premise of your post because I am not mislead anyone about the potential of the Symphonie System. Therefore, I request you better clarify your post. Evaluator. P.S. The below chart is not Rhetoric! This is performance using Strict Symphonie Rules in 5 min timeframe for 5 weeks of trading...!!!!! THIS IS EVIDENSE! |

Hi Steve, all and Eval, i noticed this part of the code for Option 1; //Exit Strategy 1: Close the trade on an opposite direction Extreme spike if (UseExitStrategy1) { if (HtfMajorCycleSell > 0 && HtfExCandleCount >= 2) { CloseThisTrade = true; }//if (HtfMajorCycleSell > 0) if (LowerTimeFrame > 0) { if (LtfMajorCycleSell > 0 && LtfExCandleCount >= 2) { CloseThisTrade = true; }//if (HtfMajorCycleSell > 0) }//if (LowerTimeFrame > 0) }//if (UseExitStrategy1) in this code, you are waiting for both the TF5 AND the TF60 to be the same before CLOSING the position. i think this might be very bad to the position and explains why the EA does'nt get out of a losing position sometimes. please can you throw some light on this Eval. I would think 5M at candle close if i got the POST 1 thingy right. also, does the CODE wait for the candle to close, and if it does, i can't find which TF it waits for to close. sorry, my in-experience kicking in here. ps: PLS ignore the "2" for the candle count, its just me messing with the bars, Standard setting as per Steve is "4". Sorry Eval, i'm not intentionally breaking the rules, it's just testing again. i got other charts on other Empty4 installs running the '3 and 4 bar rule. this one happens to be the 2 bar rule Empty4. regards cuzgeorge |
