Hi Master Coder,

I need some help here... :oops: The current EA is saving the value of the High Zone and Low Zone at GlobalVariable function... The value will be zeroing on every time Sydney is opening and we need to zeroing the value manually if we miss this time... and I believed some of you are still sleeping on this time... :)

I need a function that allow the EA to look back and recalculate all those value and redraw those lines just in case we miss the time..rather than key-in manually. Based on the logic that currently I have in the EA, it will only start to open trade after the Frankfurt open till next Sydney open time..and no trade will be opened between Sydney to Frankfurt time.... By having this code, we can eliminate to ON the computers 24/5...

You should be able to use the code I posted earlier. You can call it in the init() if you are past the start time or in your start() if you are before it and it will give you the correct values. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =102#p1099

I'll look into it immediately...

BTW Guys,

Please use the attached updated version of the EA... It was my mistake forgot to add as external variable for the SydneyOpenTime in the EA...since I'm too busy testing the EA as my own.. :) . The update version has the time for SydneyOpenTime for the EA to zeroing the GlobalVariable value...

As the EA that zone hour parameter that are based on Local Hour Time (PC Time),
if so, the EA could do Empty4 strategy test (back test )?

the default zone hour be set from 10 to 13 and SydneyOpenTime=6, the setting is for which time zone?
and set Sydney open time purpose?

Hi Ding,

The result that I post is based on the Backtest result and at the same time I'm also do a forward testing it on demo. But you have to adjust accordingly on the time in order the EA work exactly at your time. I found that during a backtest, somehow the backtest time is a GMT time. My broker is GoMarket..I'm not sure about other brokers. Therefore for back and forward test, it has different set of Start and End hours...I think so..

10 to 13 is the time for my local time which is equivalent to 3 to 7 GMT hours which is the time duration 4 hours before London open, while Sydney time is the time for the chart starting in my broker. This Sydney time is use for resetting the High and Low value of the box.

So during backtest, set the "Show_Settings = true", and you can see the time at the local time which is the time equivalent to SydneyOpenTime and ZoneStartHours and ZoneEndHours... You need to use that time in your backtest, while the forward test, you may need to find a different time from backtest time if your backtest time is not the same with the forward test time. For my broker..backtest time for SydneyOpen time is 0, while forward test is at 6.

Currently..I'm in the process of integrate the script that calculate the box... Thanks to George for that script... I'll post the new version once I managed to solve the problem on this Loacl time and GMT time problem...

Guys,

Attached is the final version of the EA. Please ignore the previous version and only use this version for the testing prior go to live.... :D . The improvement on this version (big applause to George for the script that really help me a lot.. 8-) :
1. ZoneStartHours and ZoneEndHours is using GMT time instead local time.
2. The EA can be opened any time, and the will still to draw the line..
3. The system will zeroing the High and Low box value automatically without to wait the SydneyOpenTime...

The backtest also show the EA has produce a same result... :D
