You changed it in vain, at this time. 1st at all, Grid Start Time must be greater than EA start time, as Dynel stated before. Seems logical. 2nd, if current time is greater than Grid Start Time + 2 mins, EA won't send the grid, as the trigger time had already passed. EA sends the grid in time window of 2 minutes, from Grid Start Time, and only then.Otherwise you should wait another day...or change time settings to something...that will be in the future 5 mins. Another bug just came up. I had it running through the night and it made a nice profit, then this morning it stopped with tons of invalid stop sells. when i looked at the chart, i can see it moved all the buys up 3 times the usual distance from the bid/ask and then it must be trying to put stop sells above the bid/ask instead of below it. |

After fixed the bugs, it made approx 240pips. Trades started around 15:00 and finished 16:00. It should because of the rally on E/U (and G/U) ... Only 1 looser (-76.1pips) and 9 winners. My question is, when the grid is finished, I mean no more stops waiting to trigger, shouldn't the EA place a new grid to start over again ? |

I really appreciate all the efforts from all of you! ... These days I am extreme busy at my day job  , but that is only up christmas and to mid of january ... will have much more time later I am thinking of a "more aggressive" variant of the strategy ... Trading example: - long1 is triggered, we add short1, short2 and short3 (that is not new) - long2 is triggered, we add short1, short2 and short3 (still not new) - short1 is triggered, we add 2x long1, 2x long2, 2x long3 (thats new) - short2 is triggered, we add 2x long1, 2x long2, 2x long3 (new) - long1 is triggered again, we add 3x short1, 3x short2, 3x short3 - short1 is triggered again, we add 4x long1, 4x short2, 4x short3 ... and so on up to TP/SL is reachted ... So we count one more additional pending order at each level if the opposite side has triggered a new level of pending orders ... Will analyse that when I have more time (end of january next year) ... With that strategy the losing traps should reduce, but -if- a loosing trap happens ... that would be "not so nice"  ... as I told above ... Hy well, I would not do that ... for me it is very important to set a new grid trap at the end of a consolidation ... what means, just before a new significant movement is expected ... Ranging periods can kill your account ... as general in trading: it is not so important what (system, strategy ...) you trade, it is most important -when- you trade your system / strategy ... with -when- i mean, time of day and/or location at chart (close to siginificant levels, lines and so on) , Dietmar |

So starting the trap just before the Euro open is good, because that time tends to start a period of higher volatility. Might be interesting to write the EA to watch for periods of reduced volatility, and start the trap there. Lower volatility is virtually always followed by higher volatility, so that might be a good time to set the trap. |
