Well, today wasn't the best day to test this EA on the EURUSD. It took a loss. Well, no worries. We can't win them all. It's all part of the game. At least the EA took the trade at the right price and took it's loss. So at least that part is working. (Not that I doubted that, but you never know..... :lol: )

Anyway. As you look at the EURUSD chart you see today was a change of trend day. At least according to Daily Open above or below Daily Open. In my opinion we don't need those days to be filtered out. Just let's see what tomorrow brings.

I gonna test the new version with it taking trades at the high or low, not at the open. Just because I used to take them there when visual back testing.
I disable slope by setting hightimeframe to zero.
I let it start at 00h and finish at 22.30. My day actually starts at 23h, so I miss the first hour. When I choose 23 it seems to only trade one hour. I will look into this later. Don't dare to bother Steve with time-related questions :oops:
Maybe one of you can test it on EURUSD with it taken the trades at the open instead of the previous days HiLo?

LUC might be messing around in this EA....
When I loaded the new version with TradeTheDailyOpen=true and TradeThePreviousHiLo=true it says it is looking for a long trade, which is right today. It also shows the daily pivot and daily open line at the right prices.
But when I use TradeTheDailyOpen=false and TradeThePreviousHiLo=true it goes wrong. It says it is looking for short trades and that isn't the case today. Also the daily open line is missing, so I guess that is the reason the EA doesn't behaves like it should.

Can somebody look into this?

(If this fault isn't solved before next day start, I gonna trade with both options set to true.
I look into the code later this evening to see if I can spot the error, if it hasn't been solved by then. Gotta run for now. Need to get home to my wife and new-born son (7 weeks old!)

I forgot we still need the Daily Open line even if not using it as the trade entry. :oops:

Fixed in 1b in post 1.

I'm running it live on a small demo account (alpari UK) and I don't seem to have those errors. (Only running it on EURUSD, so not a great sample of trades yet)

Yesterday the EA resulted in another loss (ok, I guess some readers are already looking for another system :lol: ) Today's trade is still open. Let's just patiently wait and see how this one turns out.
Can't find it that fast in the EA-code if it opens a new trade tomorrow if there is still a trade open. I just wait and find out.

heres my results since start. one on the 6th and one yesterday hitting TP.
You cans ee the charts i'm trying DB on with various settings until i get a handle on what works and what does'nt.

Dont have a link yet but will update ASAP.

I am running the DO version on a demo account. Seems to be functioning very well. Visual back test looks like it would work better by adjusting the times. I can not get the time adjustments to work. I have tried to adjust time formats and changing in meta editor. Don't know if is a code problem or my user stupidity :? . I have enjoyed 10.2a and I really like the look of this and want to try to provide something useful back to the group. If one of you coders can help me with this, I will give it a good test and share my results. Thanks for all the great work you'll are doing.

What times you want to let it trade? Remember you need to input your local times, without spaces in between. If you write them down here I have a look at it.
