It is pretty much explained in post #1 but to expand on post #1 ;

Forex markets are moved by many different factors but there are two underlying parts that make price action move. Those two parts are the GREED of making money and the FEAR of losing money. These basic elements everyday drive market price action causing volatility they push markets into overextending cycles making price action expand and contraction. FEAR and GREED generally have four elements that compose the underpinning those parts are; Trend, Emotion, Sentiment, and Extreme. These four components can be gauged and by doing so one is able to see and predict future market movements.

Can you give a more mathematical explanation of how the indicators gauge these emotions?

George, I know what you mean and I'd also like to know the methodology underpinning this particular combination of indicators. We've all seen systems based on a few indis thrown together which work for a while or only on certain pairs, etc.

However, I lurked for a while on the FF thread - don't go there much nowadays - and I didn't get the impression that the OP fell into the aforementioned category. He has also documented quite thoroughly. I've been forward demo testing (last 2 weeks only) and have been pretty impressed - putting it another way, I have seen EAs developed for systems based on far flimsier evidence of potential success than this one! It uses repainting indicators. An EA for testing would be nice - I think they are working towards one back at FF but - no disrespect to them - I think the talent here can quickly determine whether this is worth further experimentation.

Those results are remarkable, Evaluator -- $3k to over $12k in less than 8 weeks !?

I need to look into this method. You said you trade the Euro session & start of US. Do you know how it behaves in other timezones? I'm 2 hours behind NY and you're shutting down trading just as I wake up. For results like that I'd be willing to get up at 2am, but that's hard for me to do right now (family responsibilities, etc).

In post #2 I tried to trade 24hr and traded for 5 weeks and took 3k and turned into 45k so any timeframe should work regardless because Symphonie is based on market conditions. I will say that the current Euro Crisis over the past 3 weeks has really made it diffucult and I have encountered many more loosing trades than the first public trial. However, I have still been profitable even with the turbulent market.

So to answer your question the Symphonie Trader System should work in any currecy pair and in any timeframe. Key it proper interpretation of the signals and being quick about taking the signals.
