hello slowkey how are you doing with nadex? I noticed on the bull spreads the ones that share a floor and cieling they keep the bottom and top ones like 20+ pips away lol. Is this the same as on live?

They become available at regular intervals. The shared floor/ceiling will usually be close to the market at the time they come out. Once they post the strikes on a given spread, they don't move so if the market has moved away from that price then you'll get your difference.

Appreciate slowkey's insights. I've been trading at Nadex for a while now and they are a great improvement over the other binary crims. You can't get the 60 second type binaries and such but the benefits out weigh the few negs.

I've also had experience with Apex investing. Paid for their service for awhile and spent a lot of time on Darrell's chatroom.

I've traded several different strategies there but haven't hit on the right mix yet.

Be happy to answer any questions though on the platform and how the spreads and binaries work.

I mostly want to capitalize on the bull spreads rather than the options. because on demo the bull spreads that share a common floor /cieling. for example if i bought the one above and sold the one below at the same time they would be about 20-30 away would be the discrepency. the price is never at the shared floor / cieling for both at the same time. thats how it is on demo is it diferent on live?

The strike price for the bull spreads are set about 10 minutes before they start (both live and demo). For example the 9:00 - 11:00 pm ET Eur/Usd just posted on Nadex. The market price of Eur/Usd at that time was around 1.3100. One of the new spreads has a ceiling of 1.3100, one has a floor of 1.3100 and one has a mid pt. of 1.3100. Now as of this writing 8:57 pm, 3 minutes still left before you can trade this spread, the market price has moved down to around 1.3087 or 13 pips.

So at the time of setting the strikes for the next appearing spread, they do match the market price, but that may well change before the spread goes live.

Now the "price" you pay to buy/sell may be quite different of course. That's the spread your paying.
That same spread just went live with the market price at about 1.3089. You can sell it now for 1.8082 so your paying about 7 pips of spread. Add that to the 11 pips you're below the ceiling allready and your 18 pips in the hole going in with a potential upside of 82 pips.

yeah thats what i'm getting at. basically i'm talking about hedging both bull spreads that share the same floor and cieling for as little of a maximum risk as possible lol

Trading a strangle with the spreads can be a nice strategy.
I've used them often on news releases. Get a nice setup with maybe 10 pips or so spread on each side for a 20 pip risk. Market can move 40 pips when news comes out for a nice double.

If you're trading the news its not a big deal.
You're going to be in front of your computer anyway.

News is scheduled for 8:30 ET.

At 8:00 the new spreads will come out that expire in two hours (8:00-10:00 am)
Ceiling/floor will be near the market (market will vacilate back and forth before news but often will stay in range due to uncertainty. Even if market moves a little, there may well be another earlier strangle (say the 7:00-9:00 am) that's now closer to the market. Or maybe a better one on a correlated pair.

8:00-8:15 you place your strangle. News comes out, market spikes, you close your strangle or ride it out if that's your strategy.

Sounds easy, huh? I'ts not. The mechanics are easy but you have to decide which news events will effect which pairs and get strangles that don't have too much of a spread.
That's your job :D
