Here is a new version of the EA, that should offer more testing possibilities:

Improvements:
----> Now displays opening of New-York and London markets (green if open/ red if closed)
----> You can unactivate trading with AllowTrade=false
----> offers the possibility to trade in a user defined time interval, by defining the 2 variables GMT_TradingStartTime and GMT_TradingEndTime. This option can be unactivated by checking ForceTradingTime=true
Broker GMT offset should be defined and the 3 DST.... variables be set to true if daylight saving time. You can choose not to show the clock with ShowClock=false
----> offers the possibility to open trades only if a minimum volume is reached... That volume is defined by the variable VolumeMinLevel. If you check Unactivate_VolumeMinLevel=false, that parameter will be ignored. (default value is set to true)
----> offers the possibility to deactivate the 61 CCI with the option Unactivate_CCI_Entry=true (default value is set to false)

Bug fixes:
----> now check if stop loss are allowed by your broker, and if it is too low, will automatically replace the user defined value by the minimal value allowed

PS/ about the extremely slow processing of your backtest, have you checked if you run the last version of Empty4 (build 409) ? I m not sure if it comes from that, but...

Wow these changes were quick! :) Have you looked at using Steve's shell EA as the base? It has plenty of useful functions e.g. various trailing/jumping stops, trade time restrictions etc. May save you time instead of re-implementing these also any additions/fixes will go to other EAs too. Just a thought.

Regarding backtest speed, perhaps the Visual Mode is enabled during backtest? E.g.

Thank you for vary fast responses. Yes Empty4 is updated to build 409. The only problem I see here is my Empty4 runs on Eastern Standard Time it shouldn't matter though?

Thanks for the advice Markft... Indeed, I was not aware of the Steve's shell EA while coding that stuff... I'm very new on this blog... If we can get the EA profitable, for sure I ll carefully look at useful function in the Steve's code or will even directly put the core of the Bufu Strategy in that shell...

Hi Johnny,
Yeah... I forgot to mention... But while backtesting, visual mode should indeed be unchecked... But once you re done, you can still click "open chart"... and you will see what did your EA... with all those blue, red, and white lines the EA draw while trading...
I'm nearly sure that the EA does what you want it to do, but please check it anyway...
I know the results can be discouraging, but for now the method implemented is is oversimple and I believe that all traders using your strategy at FF will soon provide you with more ideas to filter signal...
Also, you right... multitimeframe Heiken Ashi would repaint... but only if we use the current bar... if you use last closed bar from each timeframe, it is not an issue anymore...

On my side, I also think it is promising enough to spend more time on the code :-)
I'm not very good at improving strategies... but...

Cutting losses and letting winners run as reminds Markft makes sense of course... that's a first thing...
I'm not sure a trailing stop will make it, but we can think of setting up kinda jumping SL that saves your profit once reached some levels...

I don't think if it will be enough though... I haven't carefully checked the backtests results yet, but at a first glance, it seems that while many trades (winners) are placed in the trend, some orders (the loosers) are placed in weaks trends or ends of trends... So maybe an additional filter may help...

It would be pretty easy to add multitimeframe double CCI... It would be a bit harder to add multitimeframe smoothed Heiken Ashi (due to the use of arrays), but possible (a guy did so for the Invictus system on FF) and I have the feeling (I might be wrong) that it would work better than double CCI to filter weak trend...

Average Directionnal Movement Index (ADX), checking MACD or MA convergence/divergence, or other indies might be other alternatives... Before adding anything, a visual examination of the backtest chart might help clarify where the strategy fails...
On page two you said the above quote. I don't want to give up on the system. It does need some sort of filter which I've failed at finding anything to fix the bad trades effectively. If a MTF indicator will do the trick lets try it. If you could link me to system using MTF indicator it would help a lot because I've never use one before.

What we need is a way to not trade range...

If anyone has ideas for further filtering please any advise is appreciated.

Is there any way you could make a MTF HAS indicator to show the daily trend with customizable inputs? I'm trying to alter the trading style to be even more long term. Still trading from 1H charts though.
