apparently, you have changed tco ea parameters after you posted a preset file earlier on.
can you please post the new preset file you are currently using, so that there are no "transmission losses" in its implementation.

Sure, no problem, if it helps you learn to use the EA.

This is not about how I trade or me knowing everything about the EA, you need to learn the settings, tell it how YOU want it to take trades.

How Nanning Bob trades is based on Trend, if you have followed any of his teaching, he has his Moving Averages based on Monthly charts to tell him the trend; I do the same.

Anyway, last week I was after big targets but only hit 1, this week, I want to see if any trades can make 1 ADR with a stop loss of 1/2 ADR.

@ cono1977 ---> further to my last reply, see this picture, the ATR ( or ADR, all same to me ) settings over rides the defaults TP / SL of 350 / 250 although they may still show on the screen.

The EA will make the trade lines on the chart, that is all what you need to worry about.

Other setting I changed is to do with Stochastic, take signal on 1 Hour, at 10 / 90 lines with confirmation, hope that helps.

from Friday am running the TCO, and the screen settings appear to me that I have not included, such as the stop loss fixed. the same happen to you? I use atr for tp and sl.

I already gave some answers to this -----> question for you, what do you see on the chart screen for TAKE PROFIT / STOP LOSS ?????????

Is it set by the EA to 350 / 250 as you complain or is it set to the OVER RIDING of the ATR settings?

Please study this picture of this week, Trade #1, see the TP / SL lines on the chart?

Also I make the other 350 / 250 to ZERO = 0 can you see that?

Don't worry about those numbers on the screen, means nothing to the trade, read the line above it, in highlighted yellow.

Mr. Snowman thank you for your answers, I studied the manual and understand what you mean. I just uploaded the set that you have posted and I noticed that TP and SL were plotted correctly on trade but on the list are wrong, then you've solved that problem.
I hope that this will also serve to others.

This is how this EA trades pull backs; trend is determined by the higher time frame (usually Daily)

Price pulls back, entry is triggered on lower time frame (usually 1 Hour)

How many entry you get depends on your settings, # of trades, # of hours between trades, maybe your stop gets hit if close and retrace is big........

But, if trade survives, you will be trading with the trend, only if you are unlucky to pick the TOP of the move will you lose

Not to my knowledge, I think that is for other Trade Managers to take over the trades after entered or some such, but if you want, you can apply different number, save a template for each setting, to be safe.

Hi Snowman,

Thanks for introducing TCO to the NB system - it's great to be able to catch trades that so often used to get away from me while I wasn't watching! I tend to spot a setup forming and then load the EA - when I'm more confident in its behaviour I might give it more freedom.

In using it, I've noticed your MA settings are different to the NB ones. NB uses a 60 and 240 on H4 (10 and 40 on the daily) and the NB ones are linear whereas you're using exponentional. I'm not trying to pick fault, it clearly works as it is, I'm just interested as to the reason behind the differences. Have you found your settings to be better, what's the problem with the NB ones etc?
