Strangely this EA did not take a single trade on USDJPY backtest on Protrader.
Have not figured out the reason yet.

I did have trades on USDJPY backtest with Cowboy Go Markets, LiteForex and ThinkForex. May be you can check, if smallest lot allowed with ProTrader is 0.1 lot, you must put FixedLot at least at 0.3

BTW, thanks Milanese for the quick reply. It makes sense.
But I did not figured out yet why I can not have trade when UseFixedLot = false.

I did it in this release only code for fixed lot, maybe in further releases I will look for a risk based calculation that works with the code, sorry for the confusion about leaving this as external..

Protrader is very fussy about only have 2 decimal places in your lot size, otherwise it wont trade without giving any error. Also if importing your own tick data you need to change the lot size from 100000 to 1000 for yen pairs.

Here is typical backtest result with EURJPY 2008-2013. Positive result but some long DD that are difficult to avoid playing with actual settings.

This EA has great potential but still at its debut. I believe that we can grab more pips with some improvements. By the way, I would like to start a discussion about the SL. I have noticed that the SL must be between half and one thid of the TP to be profitable on the long run. SL is hit more often then TP but because TP is bigger (specially the third one sometime), total profit can be larger then total lost. Because of that, a long serie of SL hitten can cause a bad DD.

What if we put the SL at the closest strongly tested S/R value.
The SL would be just below the Support for a Buy or just above the Resistance for a Sell. This way, the price would not hit the SL if S/R is just tested and then the Price retrace. The S/R indicator used with Marilyn would be very usefull. We don't need all the Zone but just the Support or the Resistance line. Setting like number of hits to test the S/R, minimum number of weeks needed to test, distance from the S/R to put SL would be interesting. A maximum distance from the TP should also be explored. We don't want the SL to be placed too far. An other idea is if the S/R is tested, lets say 2 times, then the TP is set at Breakeven or even with a small lost.

So what do you think ? Any other ideas ?
