This is with no influence, as the tma-slope is only used for exit if the trade is going wrong und the values used are hardcoded...

Cheers :)

Tommaso

thanks for the EA. i have a question, if setting the EA on a timeframe other than M30, i understand that PERIOD_SR has to be changed to the relevant timeframe

but what about the other time based functions that are locked currently to 240, namely PERIOD 2CANDLE RULE, PERIOD ATR and HtfTimeframe. do those need to be changed as well?

please advise, thanks

Hi,
and thanks for your interest. No I would the other parameters not change as they should work with the H4 tf best, but all can be tested out, who knows, maybe other settings for this values can be too better..

Cheers :)

The most clear signal I have noticed using slipshod´s indi is when price approaches a proven support and tick volume increases. The odds of reversal are then very high. (Not sure if tick volume can be added as I have not seen it before in any EA, and can bring some confusion regarding different brokers). I´ll follow with great interest this EA. :hi:
When you say an increase in tick volume I am curious, what are you using as the gauge of tick volume? The volume histogram in Empty4 or some other method?

Hi, Skoda. I´m using Better Volume, but you can also use the original Empty4 volume.

This is an example from EURCHF 4H. I have muted all S/R except the proven ones, that you can see in purple.
Notice how volume increases when price touches the proven support, trapping the shorts. (You can also notice how volume increases every time price touches the top and the bottom of the channel, but this is out of topic here). I mentioned volume just as a curiosity as I don´t think it could be added in a reliable way to an EA. But you can always take it in consideration for your manual trading.

Thanks for the clarification. I have not played with the Slipshod indicator (yet), but by it's very nature of what support and resistance actually is, wouldn't there almost always be an increase in trading activity at these levels?

It should be to aspect that these levels are zones ,where we can find many orders(SL, buy/sell limit ecc.).., what is imo the basic idea of this strategy..

Cheers :)
