How you come up with this settings ? Did you backtest it ?
Can you open the lot size in your myfxbook for this test please ?

I do not backtest ever, I only forward test. I just test different settings and see which seems to work the best. Sorry about that, I thought I had it public, you should see the lot sizes now. :hi: |

Hi Mathew, Thank you for making your hard work available to everyone. :hi: I am also in the US, CST time in Louisiana GMT-5. I've just now started with PPOS. I've loaded EA to several charts with different settings. Main changes I am concerned about is ECN true or false, Monday true or false, and the all important but somewhat elusive trading times. I use ATCBrokers ECN which allows as many multiple pendings in a directions as you want to place. I have a few questions, FinFX is an ECN broker but you have setting to false in your set. So this setting is not so important as to stop EA from trading? I've read where Monday trading needed to be enabled for a US trader to be able to see trades yet EA trades for you with Monday off, I was wondering why that would be. Now for the main concern of mine. I've been told and have read where time is PC time, which is local....where broker time is needed (for me that would be Pacific Time since ATC is in California)....and then opening of new candle time which is 00.00. I have loaded EA with several time settings to see which works. However since we are the same GMT-5 I am hoping the settings you use will work for me also then I can stop the experimenting and load to charts settings that work. It is Sunday evening and I have just now loaded up my charts. ATC has no Sunday candle, Monday candle starts 4:00 PM. today. I appreciate any input. dreambig1 |

I will try to answer your questions. When I looked at Steve's Coding I believe he has an idiot check in there so if you dont put the ECN choice correctly it detects when your wrong and makes it correct. I always leave it false and havent had any problems. You are correct about the Mondays for US traders. The reason I have it set to not trade on Monday is because I only wanted it to trade Tue-Fri our time. To be honest I havent been keeping up with the updates as my bots are still the very first ones he released and are working fine, besides August doing awful. The time in the bot IM using is local PC time. I THINK he updated the other bots to be broker time but you would have to look at the code to see. I honestly dont remember. I also do NOT use PPOS, I still use basic PC. I have played with lots of different time settings, from 15 mins after day open to 3 hours after and they all seem to perform the same so its not that big of deal with my research so far. I hope that helps you some. If not ask again I will try to answer better. |

Hi Mathew, I appreciate the quick response. I am at my PC now tryingn to figure things out. I have your 100sl-50BE-JS50 set loaded to a chart and steves set loaded to a chart. I figured out time...it is 00.00 for me since this made the EA show inside trading hours. Now I've run into an issue I haven't read about anywhere. I read both PPOS and PP threads again today. I am getting a "Trading Suspended" at top of my charts. I contacted ATCBrokers and they said it was an EA issue that all looked good with my account. Since we are both GMT-5 I would think your set settings would work for me. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thx EDIT I just loaded the original PP since you said that is what you use....Now not getting the "Trading Supended" notice....INteresting. EDIT Changed Stop Trading DAy to "0" and CloseAndDelete Trades to false and "Trading Suspended" disappeared. |
