I am slow to reviewing the Duck. Are users starting off of the default grid settings (5/1/50)? Thanks

I aggressively adusted the lot size after starting this. It made 14% in the first 24hrs. Amazing. Risk can probably be reduced by 10 and still be very very profitable.

And here is Forex duck with the correlation filter enabled at 0.01 per £1000:

Please share your demos guys so we can find the best balance between risk and reward.

And a huge thank you to Jose for his intellect and generousity sharing these with us.

Thanks

Steve
Hi Steve,

I can't seem to view your demo accounts. I think you might have to make them publicly visible.

Cheers,
Tim

maybe adding the tradermanager from the goosey thread resolves this?

All my accounts are public on myfxbook.

Everything is fine I believe the only tinkering to be done is just change the lot size. It works.

14% per day is insane and DD is under 20% on my account. 5% gain pm with low DD is all you need and you will be retiring in a few years- you will have people throwing money at you to trade for them.

So I believe that all is needed is to lower the lot size. Jose is trading 0.02 per £1000 and his DD is v low. Personally on my accounts trading an ea I would like to keep the DD below 10%. My manual accounts are under 15% DD. I will set up a demo 0.01 per £5000 & leave it for a few months.

Since its a demo, can you open up the viewing rights so we can see lots, balance, comments, and magic numbers? Makes it easier to look at the details.
40% in a few days tells me you are trading high lots compared to balance?, more than 0.01 per $1000?

Hi Mackaozy & everyone,

Here are my two forexduck demos,

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/acosta ... v3/1392473 - M5
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/acosta ... h1/1398024

I tweaked the setfile a little bit in the second one (smaller Grid & TP to see how it goes).
Here are both setfiles I'm using in this demos:
Forex Duck v3 Mod1 - H1.set
Forex Duck v3 Defaults M5.set
I'm interested in your "Correlation Filter On" demo, It seems to be able to control DD quite effectively, ?

Mackaozy if you could please confirm:

- What TF are you running this on (both chart and EA settings)
- Aside from the Correlation Filter, what else have you modified in the parameters (Mind to share your setfile :)?

What I have seen in this EA is that the trades can remain opened for way longer than would be ideal... so... my question to you is.... How do you control DD, and "stuck" trades? when do you take the hit and let the EA open a new set of trades?

Or do you just let the EA do its thing completely on auto?

THanks for the feedback

Diego

I was testing this, but it looks like it is hedging even if I set that false (are others seeing this?). This is not going to work for me unfortunately. See below

Hi Diego.

I'm not at my PC at the mo so can't share my setfile. But I have it set up as in post 1.

I have it on a 100k demo set at 1lot that is it. I did think I'll try and change the lots size every £1000 of equity increase. So £101,000 I set at 1.01 lots. But my equity was increasing so fast I couldn't keep up, so I will just increase it 0.1 for every £10,000.

That is it. Simple. I will set up another demo 0.01 for every £10,000, or maybe 0.01 for every £5,000. And just leave it on auto.

I have it on the 1hr timeframe. But that's irrelevant as Jose would have hard coded the timeframe in the ea.

I may change the new series to 1000% margin as I get nervous when I see my margin below 1000%.

Hope that helps.
