Eat, Pray, Love (EA) Which do you choose?

I would like to add that on my live account I'm running kiss v3 with the following settings to reduce risk:

0.05 per £10,000
Speed limit set to 3 to stop trades at on volatile pairs- alternatively I may just change that to the majors and a few minor pairs that have a low range.
Max 3 pairs.

I have yet to see the results of this as its only been two days, but time will tell if it's too tight or too loose.

Hopefully that will offer a balance between risk and reward. I don't like a DD under 10%- i get very nervous over that. In my signal account (which I trade manually) I have a DD setting of 15%- if that is hit all trades are closed.

For an entry strategie is Pipcruiser's Pipmasher in my opinion a wonderful example of a strategy which will be successful in the long term. In some way the same goes for the first entry of EuroSpeedWay and Mr. Sapu his strategy. Take no offense in this, but if I may say; in my opinion are these the strategies that we have to focus on.

I am of the view that any strategy that’s designed for anything under the 1-Hour timeframe will lack in consistency and risk management over the long term. Derive the majority of your information from higher timeframes than H1, with only some additional filters on the M15 timeframe for entry and exit purposes.

I have included these strategies into a very experimental version of EPL v3 with additional filters for M15, M30, H1 and H4 entries. I am trading live this version now. Using three strategies for entries (Pipcruiser's Pipmasher, EuroSpeedWay and Market Spread Taker) it is normal that this EA takes more trades than EPL v2. I do not know if this mix of strategies it is better than the strategy used for the version v2 (Forex Kiss strategy), but as David Bowie sings "we can be Heroes, just for one day".

Hi,

I am developing at the moment a new EA based on the Forex Kiss v3 EA, that will reduce the DD of this EA and will add new features.

The title of this EA (Eat Pray Love (+Write)) was taken from the title of the excellent book "Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia" by Elizabeth Gilbert, that I recommend warmly. Also the film of the same name.

The new EA will search for pullbacks in the 15 min timeframe (Eat), 30 min (Write), 1hour (Pray) and 4 hours (Love), opening limit orders of the same duration. You will be able to select which of the four pulllbacks to trade (or all of them).

Also I have created my own ALR (Automatic Loss Recovery) Basket Manager included in this EA.

Thanks for this EA. I need to ask if you can make this one to recognize suffixes like the KISS v3? I really hate to keep asking but I love your EAs and I just want to be able to trade them on my criminal, Tallinex. The suffix for Tallinex is .ecn

Do you have enabled Eat, Write, Pray & Love on the version you are running? I have Pray (60min) & Love (4hr) enabled, and no trades yet, may turn Eat (15m) on..

I am very grateful for the ideas about the Automatic Loss Recovery (ALR) exposed in this forum, and also for the ideas presented by The Wolf.

But as have seen in another thread about Loss Recovery:

the treatment of a basket of trades (with many positions in the same pair) it is very difficult and complicated.

For that I do not want to use hedging nor pending orders. If someone has the old !xMeters EAs, I used there scaling and hedging with mixed results. Also I do not want to employ trades with negative swaps.

For that I have created my own ALR Basket Manager included in the following EA.
