my test ticking forwards quite nicely now showing some favor to GU and EJ.
Hi, can you identify what was a differance between winning and loosing pairs in short term?

Nope! .. they have all been in a mildly volatile range past couple of days.. look at the 4 hour chart and there are some differences but nothing I can quantify yet. I suggest following Rene's choice of pairs as seems to have the best results so far....

Hi, thanks, but I just look for charts and noticed that winning pairs had little body and high up/down wicks on D1 TF. Losers had high body and almost no wicks on daily TF. Is any way to predict this?

If so we would all be rich. Keep in mind that watching winning and losing pairs may not give you a clear picture as the winner on one pair can be used to close losers on another pair. And the master will close at your set equity gain possibly closing losing pair that would have turned into winners. Winning and losing pairs will vary all the time I believe. Somehow finding the best combination of pair may be more advanced than just picking winning and losing pairs in this case.

Quite right!

We are trading favourable noise here. There is no deeper or higher level logic to it. The EA is mindless, ruthless and relentless. You'd ask youself: Do I even deserve to be profitable with such a stupid program? Normally, when trading noise, you're on the losing end, as the br0kers are stacking the odds in their favor. I'm still waiting to see when and where this EA combo is going to crash and burn. Eg. a 1600 pip drop in 5 minutes, like we saw on the 15th of January last year on the CHF pairs can't be good for this combo. But then again, that would not be good for many other EAs.

I think Peepaws is right, it is important that this mindless EA trades a basket of pairs (low spread) so that the offset could be done efficiently. Forget about the individual pair profit and loss. It is not important due to the way that the offsetting is done !

Ok, the moment has come what I've been waiting for: I have got a large drawdown (8%):

Margin has been reduced to 600%. I will leave it and see what happens, but it can't be anything good. The EA is not programmed to close trades in a (equity) loss, so if the draw down doesn't reduce by itself, there is no way that the EA gets out of this situation. In that case it needs some manual intervention. I'm working on the controls for that.
