Maudur I can try answer this for you. I haven't focused on range trading 10.2 yet as we've been trending pretty nicely the last 2 weeks. When it comes to range trading you'll want to drill down to a lower TF (15min,30min,1hr) and look for entries using the TMA or bollinger bands or perhaps you already have a ranging strategy that works well you can use that.

The trick is to range trade with direction of the higher TF.. So if the Daily is at .03 and the H4 is at .02 we know to only look for buys on the 15min,30min,1hr. So what we do is wait for price to go outside the BOTTOM TMA or Bollinger Band and then when price comes back inside you can put a buy in and aim to close it at the TOP TMA or Bollinger Band.

If you see that the TMA slope on the 4H then jumps to .05 while you are in the trade then you can hold it for longer, perhaps a trend is building.

Thank you very much for your answer. But if the pair is in dayly trend, ie. For example D1 slope = 0.5, and in H4 slope is also for example in 0.6 and another condition for UT are ok in D1 and H4, Do you trade in D1 or in H4 or in H1?

I just set some trades to trigger on a 4H 5.1 MA touch in direction of Daily trend. They all straight away went negative but all good, am holding on to them all for now. SHORT AUDJPY AUDUSD NZDUSD AUDCAD LONG GBPAUD I've noticed that the blue MA touch seems to work best if: For a SHORT the blue MA is above the green and maroon MA's. For a LONG the blue MA is below the green and maroon MA's. I'll keep checking this out but those seem to be very good setups because the price has retraced significantly. Please comment if you have any thoughts on this.
