I basically change the parameter from 240 to 60. Are there other change is necessary? I would appreciate it very much if you could help me, I really know nothing about programming. |

Hi kwanann, Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been using your NB 10.5 EA on demo for a little over a week and want to share some results. So far so good in what I thought was a pretty tough week (lots of whipsaws). I am using mostly default settings on 4H chart, except that I turned GMT off as I am not 100% sure exactly what it does (one of my rules is don't use/trade what you don't understand). I have let the EA loose on a number of majors at initial 1% risk, then dropped to .5% risk later in week when all the high impact news announcements started. So far on my $6500 demo account it managed a little over 2% increase. I am working on a whole bunch of improvements to your EA that I will share in due course. Most important is a news filter (already coded, but I want to test more) and a bunch of other account protection features. Note that trading NB 10.5 is by no means a set and forget EA. You still constantly need to eyeball the charts and remove the EA from pairs that just don't look right. Most of my losers were on the JPY. I am sure that I will get better as I understand naningbob's control panel better and had not traded the JPY. |

Week two of my experiment with the 10.5 NB EA and needless to say I am too embarrassed to report. Call it beginners luck, but last weeks profit was wiped out and then some. Total account loss for week was 3.2%. I am not going to put up a graph as its pretty much a 45deg slope downhill all week. I attribute the loss to all the normal problems that we all have: Greed/overtrading Too much fiddling with settings Finger trouble (yes, this caused a whack of trades to close unexpectedly at the wrong time) And the top mistake was not to look at naningbobs 10.5 console page My strategy for next week is going to be as follows: Only put the EA on charts where CSS correctly diverges on the daily chart, then double check for CSS divergence on the 4H. The EA does not check for increasing divergence, just divergence greater than the CSS threshold. This I think is incorrect. If I look at all my losers for the week, then this is the key - if CSS is greater than threshold, but converging, you will loose even if all other signals are 100%. |
