I had forgotten to change the chart MA to lwma, and had it on sma instead. Quite some difference. The trade closing was something of a surprise.

The method I was thinking of goes like this...

1. When entering trades, the EA checks for the existence of a BasketStartDateTime GlobalVariable, and if there isn't one, then it is created with the Date & Time of the first trade of the basket...

2. From there, it would tally Profit/Loss of closed trades backwards to BasketStartDateTime, and add/subtract Floating Profit/Loss, close the basket at our target Basket Equity, and delete the GV, ready for the next new basket.

This way, we can use it as part of a portfolio of systems.

I tried to code it and failed, but I know there are much better coders out there than I that could put this together, so I figured I'd put it out here before I forgot the damn thing

We still need to determine when the basket was started, though.

The way MPTM's Global_Equity_Closure works is that it checks the account equity when a basket is started... When (Closed_Trade_Profit - Closed_Trade_Loss) +/- Floating_Profit/Floating_Loss >= Target_Equity_Profit, it closes all trades, regardless of which entry system was used.

By having a multi-pair EA that sets a GV with the start time/date of the current basket, you can look back through the history, looking for the right magic number, but it will stop when it finds the first trade in the current basket, and it will only close the trades it "owns", so you can use it alongside other systems and it won't close their trades... Without the GV, when a second basket is started, the EA will not only look at the closed trades of the second basket, but also the trades from the first basket...

The GV is a line in the sand, telling the EA, "You shall not pass!".
