Thanks to all who have contributed to this, after some RL events I found this and put it on my live account.
So far, so good.

The Cowboy Go Markets results were pretty good
in comparison to the Global ones.

As I was staring at the screen wondering why there was such a vast difference; I noticed a contradictory difference between the Global onscreen display and the internal coding.

Code: Select all

Line 162 - extern bool     IsGlobalPrimeOrECNCriminal=false;
Cross-checking the Cowboy Go Markets demo I found the internal coding (as above) & on-screen display tallied. I then installed new AXIS & Bully Bully Pepperstone demos and installed the same Pipmasher.mp4 onto them -- with the same on-screen results as the Cowboy Go Markets demo.

I am completely lost. Why is the Global demo the odd man out??

Has anyone had/got the same display and, more importantly, is the Global platform's difference between the coding and the display likely to have any effect on the overall trading performance?

Thanks! :good: :good:
Cheers.

It was 2 to 3 years ago reported by one of the other forum member that Go is always fabricating demo price data feed so that your testing will look good. Go was one of the best broker 4 years ago and not any more. Search in FF and you will find many complaints on them.

Hi guys, firstly I'd like to say a huge thank you for a great EA.

Regarding stop loss on the EA, whilst back testing I noticed that a number of trades would have hit what seems to be the general consensus of opinion Stop Loss of 100 pips to then go in the direction of original trade.

So after some research I have found a place where the average daily volatility is posted which looks at the last few weeks of volatility. So what I thought might be a better stop loss to use is the daily volatility of the last few weeks, this just means that the lot size needs to be adjusted for the varying stop loss values.

For me this means that on the weekends adjust the stop loss and lot size to better accommodate the particular currency pair that I am trading.

Anyway here is the site for those of you interested.

Thank you to Steve and Cruiser for all the work you guys have completed, its very much appreciated..

I'm going to run this EA parallel with my default trade model..I will only be choosing certain environments in certain instruments to plug this into... Ill be using an ADR stop with the settings = 20 period x2 for the stop and x 4 for the take profit ..

Ill post a Myfxbook link after a few months..

I hope everyone has a merry Xmas and a happy and peaceful New year..

Ja.

I used this set (found in these pages), it has been modified, look into the general tab on myfxbook for the modifications. I also plan to remove the NZDXXX pairs from the trading.

Hi Sundog.

Why are you going to remove the NZD pairs? Are they too volatile?

..... Are they too volatile?
Like every pair ... sometime they are volatile - sometime not
I think there isn't something like an ever calm (or wild) pair .... the only exception now is perhaps the the EURCHF ... for now ! But the markets may change and jump ... you never cant predict this crazy forex world, even running calm for a long time the character of any pair may change bcz of changed fundamentals ... :uff:

True. Every pair has their mood swings. And trying to predict which way they're going to swing next is like trying to nail jelly to a tree.
I was merely curious as to the reasoning behind dropping the NZD pairs.

IMHO.. it might be worth putting the NZD in your basket of instruments, the NZCB policy is to raise rates in 2015, making this a very attractive currency..It already has an attractive positive swap against most currencies.. making it very attractive all round for Investors..
