For Difference you are trading pairs who have difference in slope of whatever you select. Trade closes when difference falls below your other input.

Baluda pits strong against weak. If Eur is .56 and Jpy is -.25 (and you have diff set to .8) it will enter a trade to buy EUR and sell JPY or in other words "long Eur/Jpy". It decides the direction based on the relative strength.

In fact, everytime i do this refresh (to see if there is difference between demo and account)
both showing same pairs "waiting" but after a while, only demo opens trades :(

It's a shame because with demo account, i closed trades with NICE profit ,sniff
Something wrong, but i don't know where ..
Thanks :)
If You use" Diff.mode" set "UseStarting Treshold" to false.
Check history data.hope it helps.

Yes, it works when you set to false this value in live account, but
as it does not wait that the future trades meeting the criteria, results and strategy aren't the same
like the demo ...
Is it possible to fix it with live account ?
Thanks again ;)

Anyone have a recommandation for settings with MPTM ?
In fact i read the pdf for MPTM, and unless I am mistaken, i didn't find
in "Basket Take profit settings" the value or equal for BasketTP in Pips ?
I see only BTP in dollars or %.
As i have others eas with Baluda, i don't want to use the GlobalOrderClosure
and the value "ProfitinPips"
Sorry if it was explained before
Thanks again for your help ;)
See inputs, COND_MaxProfit_Pips and ManageBy_Magic in attached. You'll have to use a magic number in Baluda.

Sincere thanks to Steve and Baluda for sharing your work products, code and all. Amazingly generous. :D

Use Global OrderClosure in MPTM but Manage by Magic Number, do this and mptm will only manage those trades with the matching magic number and leave the rest.
If you want to manage 2 sets of trades, set a different magic number and load a 2nd instance of mptm onto a separate chart.

Thanks Spyderman, makes sense.

Demo account the last 4 days has gone from $1400 to $1800, using standard Day settings, which seems incredible, or is this 'normal' for a demo, and unlikely in reality ? Going live on Monday.

Has anyone tried settings for 4H, 1H, 15M. Does one simply change the chart to say, 4H, and leave the EA settings alone ? Or would running another timeframe on the same platform, along with the D settings, freeze everything ?

Hold comment, I will try the winsteadglenn method.

Thanks for the confirmation fxozgirl ;)

Ok, it is a nice EA i think, it lacks a few parameters that work for live account : 'UseStarting Treshold' (to set to true) and perhaps why not include like EA "Bob and Jem and Shelley's Pivot Basket auto-trader" parameters as TP, SL, pips ...etc

I'm waiting results from HarryG for next week, live account 8-)
If a coder (Baluda ? ;) could tune it with adding and adjusting missing values, it would be
very helpful and trades would be more profitables, IMHO of course ....

Great week-end :D

Hi HarryG,

You mentioned that you trading "standard Day settings" , what is mean?
Are you trading 'TradeByLevel' or 'TradeByDifference'.?

To Steve Hopwood

Hi,

In order to keep a handle on MM, could you please provide this EA with a Max Open Pairs Allowed setting, similar to that provided in The Beast.

When you have time of course.

regards

Nicastro

Hi Harry,

I have run a 3K demo, 0.02 micro lots since the 25th of June using default settings on the H4, D1 both level and diff.

H4 level, D1 level and D1 diff are good. H4 diff has been roughly break even all up.

Results so far for H4 level , D1 level and D1 diff combined: 1623 pips. Win rate: 57% . Average win: 65 pips. Average Loss: 42 pips. Maximum floating draw down: 6.9%

The demo is running on a PC which is not always on and connected to the internet. I am running out of places to demo and my brother volunteered his PC :-) . BTW, FireDaemon is great for running Empty4 in the background as a service.

I'm using MPTM to set a SL and TP of 2 x ATR, period 7, TF H4 or D1 the same as each EA instance. I did this since the EA would not always be controlling the trade and I wanted a safety stop.

I did close several of the winning trades using my iPhone that had almost reached TP. Most trades did not hit their SL/TP, rather Baluda closed them. In future I will remove the TP, some trades would have run much longer.

The win rate would be higher due to Baluda opening some trades briefly then closing at a small loss. I don't think this is a bug but due to the slope "popping" up and down briefly.

These results may be near useless to some due to my some what hap hazard management but it has been a bit of fun and a source of email alerts for my manual trading, which is how I prefer to use EA's for trading.

Post subject:  Re: Baluda Slope Strength auto-trader

I've been running baluda now for over a week.

Two instances, both using diff settings.
I have one set on the h4 diff and one set on daily.
This last week was pretty good...at least floating profit wise.
I had the daily set on a $3,000 demo account. Had a couple of negative trades but my lastest string started at a balance of $2,857. I set the opening diff to .8 and the closing diff to .7 (though I would avoid drawdown).

Well I was up about a cool thousand  but everything has retraced in the last day or so. Nothing closed as the diffs are still well above 7 (some above 11). I'm still up about 600 but it seems a shame to lose all those $$$.

Anyone have any ideas on better ways to exit these trades other then just the closing diff.
Maybe use the closing diff more as a s/l and some other method (MPTM trail??) to close the winners?

I suppose MA may help. After PA crossing MA trades should be closed.
