If you set OnlyTradePositiveSwap to true and both buy and sell trades attract negative swap, then the pair cannot be traded.

i'am very satisfied with the performance so far.

one thing i noticed a few times now: gday closes the first 1/3 after 50 pips. correct. the second 1/3 when reaching 100 pips. correct. but the last 1/3 is always closed a few seconds after the second 1/3. in the myfxbook-history there's not one trade with more than 100 pips.

i cannot see anything unusual. my be/jsl options are set to 50 pips each. has someone this issue, too?

Gday 2 has woken up this last week and i have had some good results. Only change i have made from the OOTB is the 50 for BE and JS is now 30, and using pos swaps only of-course.

Added 2 charts on EURUSD and USDCHF on 4hr charts with diff magics and comment to see if there will be a difference from the normal 1hr charts. Should'nt be, but lets see.

Hi KevinT,
The reason i posted the comment on the swaps was because those pairs with the general settings i had would not trade at all and as i like to keep the same settings across the pairs, others would be trading, but not those particular pairs, so it was just to bring that possible situation up to users who might not notice. As Steve explained after my post.
If a trend is detected for the EA to take that position, i want it to go ahead, regardless of swap rates in this case. Should i see the EA is not winning in this scenario, then i would go back and try possible parameter changes, but i wouldnt go so far as to change the code.

Whats there is more than enough, good idea though, just another way to check on swaps, but personally, i would'nt go through the trouble.
Gday 2 seems to be doing much better these days, almost like it went through a barrier and everything started to work together nicely, strange on my side. Will keep checking on it periodically.

heres a pic of my closed positions, you'll notice GDAY2 is not a thunderous trader, but results are acceptable so far and no chance of blowing the account. Swaps are true. Almost OOTB.
demo list i have only one on Gday2, i have on my list in my signature.

One open position, sadly its a sell on GBPJPY, sad because anything XXXJPY these days is going through the roof, not South. Lets see how Gday handles this.

Every 'insight' I have ever read has said this: do not sell when Stochastic is oversold. Do not buy when it is overbought.

Other 'insights' have claimed that an oversold pair will carry on being oversold. Overbought pairs will carry on being overbought.

Most of us here are waiting for EU to rise out of oversold to trigger a Gday buy. In the meantime, Bob's 10.4 allowed me a wonderful sell trade today.

Early days, so this may be bollocks, but here is what I am surmising. Gday and 10.4 make complimentary systems:
  • 10.4 only triggered the sell because the market first peaked, then fell to fill my sell pending.
  • There was no Gday trade because although Stoch rose for a while, the market then fell back and so Gday cannot trade.
So, I am also hoping this:
  • a rise in Stoch such that it triggers a Gday buy will mean that the market has risen so far that 10.4 will not trigger a sell.
  • eventually our Gday buy will close. From here:
    • the trend will have changed on 10.4 to long, and we are waiting for a retrace to allow a new 10.4 buy trade.
    • we are still in a downtrend, and 10.4 is waiting for the retrace to run its course and our pending sells will fill and make us yet more profit.
Yes, I know that Bob uses Rsi and Shelley uses Stoch, but they are basically the same thing.

Maybe we have found a combination to take advantage of market movements in both directions? Not sure yet; we shall see. At the very least, this post has given me the chance to 'think out loud'.
