Honestly, I think you've already got it in your head. You've said enter after 5 pips across DO (or was or DP?), R1/S1 TP, SL as usual I don't know about LOL, you're calculating R:R. I really think we need you, a profitable trader, vs a type of trader. I of course can be wrong. I am a lot. But from where I'm standing, even if I do have ideas of my own, day traders use pivots. This is known. You know R:R. I think I can speak for most of us if not all of us when I say: "We want what you have to give. So take a deep breath, and just concentrate on the things you have mentioned, and what you already know." The way I see it (and always have) is that we are here to help each other, and I can help in one area, but you are helping in a much greater area by opening DP and S&R levels from DP to traders who don't know how to trade them and/or may know about them, but never had a system, like myself. Vague system at best. I will do what I can to help, but IMHO you are more on track than me by far. I've depended on input from successful traders I considered friends but haven't shared as much with me in the years I've known them as you have in the last days. I'd rather scalp the H1 timeframe with you than be on my own or having people I've considered friends who would rather run my life than freely share like I see here on this forum. zznbrm recently told me I shouldn't be in Forex trading, and that he didn't give in the group I started because that would be condoning me being in Forex when he doesn't think I should be. Frankly, it's not up to him to make that decision. It's my decision to be in Forex, my decision to live like I do, my decision to be here. Some may say that Forex is only for the rich. I highly disagree. I have worked hard but gotten little in return from those I've shared with. I can't put up with that any longer. I can't afford to share and have no input and actually be judged by someone who I've considered a friend, who would rather tell me that if he gave me a life preserver that would be condoning me swimming, so he sees the responsible thing to do is let me drown instead. Great friend huh? BTW, it's not like I was always in this position. I had a job paying about $20/hr first 3 years I studied Forex. But I knew that career was playing out, so I started studying Forex and MQL4. I don't see that as a bad thing. I see it as looking ahead and trying to be prepared. And then for someone I consider a friend to tell me that, it's his and others sitting back and not giving but instead judging that, well, I don't even want to go further than that. I can say I disagree with him and with anybody that would try to run my life. On another, more positive note, does anybody wanna share? Cool. Me too. Let's do. Anybody that doesn't like sharing probably wouldn't come here anyways. They'd get downright upset by all the giving going on. How condoning LOL. You on the other hand are a breath of fresh air with how you share. Thank you SO much! I hope if anything I have encouraged you that you CAN do it. Heck, you already are! If I haven't said it enough, thank you for sharing. Sincerely. Kindest regards, Don |

BTW, just wanted to post the pics that I included in the Archive.zip package posted I think within last 10 posts. When compared to earlier posted pics that had template before I added AutoGMT, we can see how similar the different criminals opens and pivots now look compared to the indicators that didn't define a standard and used each criminals own open time for calculations. Bob, When I said "All Bob would have to do, since he is already GMT+0, would be to change input to 3 to target Forex Open and Pivots, or -4 to target Eastern Open and Pivots.", I was wrong. Since you are on Cowboy IBFX (GMT+0), to target Forex day beginning (aka FXDD), you would put in -3 in inputs and make WeekEndMode true. To target Eastern (aka MBT), you would put in 4. This is counter-intuitive, since FXDD is +3 (until tonight), and MBT is -4 (until tonight). I left it aiming at GMT (aka Cowboy IBFX) so we would NOT have to deal with DST changes. We do start a couple hours later at opening of JPY session, but I think not having to deal with DST and having to probably change the code later is worth it myself. What do you think? Kindest regards, Don P.S. I get my GMT time and date from http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/stamps.php. I can't remember if brokers change their start time in winter or if they always use 17:00 Eastern whether its EST or EDT. Anyways, if you would still like to aim at Forex market open, we would need to find a time stamp page like above, but one that always pointed to what is used by Forex, and auto-updates DST or whatever (just has to match what brokers open by in Forex), then it should be easy to parse, reformat for Empty4, and use. |

Here's an update to the All Pairs indicator. The update is to apply code from open and pivot indicators I posted, so that the indicators are all updated and, as seen in picture (using WeekEndMode true and manually put in gmt offsets for these brokers) since this is the weekend and the autogmt does not work during weekend). Now the All Pairs is giving the same signal on all brokers. (Note: To see what the signals across brokers would be without autogmt code, make WeekEndMode to true and set the offset to 0). When not testing, make sure WeekEndMode is set to false so autoGMT kicks in and take care of everything automatically. Kindest regards, Don |

Hi Don, when I load this onto a chart, nothing shows up. In the journal I got these messages: 2012.11.04 08:06:03 Custom indicator AllPairs_10.3_Don_AutoGMT_110312 EURUSD,H1: removed 2012.11.04 08:05:59 Custom indicator AllPairs_10.3_Don_AutoGMT_110312 EURUSD,H1: loaded successfully The indicator was automatically removed by Empty4, don't know why ? A criminal issue ? I'm using aplari uk. Appreciate your help. |

Last week I believe Forex day started at 17:00/5 PM Eastern Daylight Time. I want to implement too Bob, if I can. And this looks like it may be right. Will just have to check and see tomorrow. Wish my memory were better. I have updated Market_HoursM_sw indicator to be AutoGMT. Of course it has weekend mode which is false by default. FOR TESTING: I have taken a pic as if we were using Forex day open (FXDD open) as target, per Bob's request, me wanting to do it too, and mainly common sense to target Forex day open and not JPY open. Right now to simulate setting to Forex market open vs JPY/GMT open., I set FXDD to WeekEndMode true on both my posted daily open and daily pivot indicators and set them to 0, and set Cowboy IBFX to WeekEndMode true on both my posted daily open and daily pivot indicators and set them to -3. I'll compare the picture I am posting now with what I must do next week on Cowboy IBFX to make the pivots align to FXDD day open. Kindest regards, Don |

kwchau, Wish I could tell you what the problem is, but I don't know. May try loading history with forceLoadHistoricalData.mq4 (although I didn't use it and mine works), or Resetting indicator. Does anyone have any idea why my indicator is not working for some people, you might know and can shed some light onto the issue? I'm having no problems running multiple MT4s and instances of the indicator, as seen in the screenshots. Kindest regards, Don

DancingPhil, I agree they work because many people use them. My work here is trying to understand and implement the rules to using them, especially as Bob is using them with rule of position of day open and daily pivot, as well as build software that does set us to a common time for day start. If we can make it work, we'll be using when FXDD open, which is same a Forex day open it's always looked like to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you for your input. Kindest regards, Don |
